I hope someday I will be able to leave before I die! But I don’t think that will happen before my TBM partner dies. He is 73 and I am 68 but health makes it a toss up who will go first. It is sad but reality. I hope I get to Sunstone, I am really going to try. I really appreciate both of you and your perspectives! Thank you!

Honors colloquium. 6 credit hours. 1984-85. Four professors (2 English, 1 Psych, 1 Physics). It was great. They were trying to wake us up but the damned dogma was so strong.

I'm here because of Andreas Xirtus and still active LDS. However I'm beginning to realize the church was hijacked from Joseph Smith. I grew up in Provo and always knew there was something wrong with the church and all the hypocritical members. I've been learning a lot from 132 problems. 👍🏻 I pray that LDS church will repent so I can get up and bear my testimony that the church is true. 😉

The Krishna Temple is so beautiful! I drove by it every day for years. One day i did a photoshoot there, and that really surprised me when we went inside and even just walked the grounds. It’s not at all what I expected. But truly it’s beautiful!! I love that we have that in Utah!

Aron usually starts strong, then devolves into repeating the one side of the political story he hears from wherever he gets his "news". Borderline unwatchable, which is sad, because he is absolutely spot on when it comes to evolution.

I’m very excited to be the baptismal candidate Josh mentioned in Missouri! Quite a spiritual journey from LDS to The Church of Jesus Christ. I love how Christ and his simple doctrine are laid out so clearly in the Book of Mormon. I appreciate so much how The Church of Jesus Christ and its members have their faith foundations entirely on Christ. 100%. They humbly look to the Bible and the Book of Mormon for their doctrine without the philosophies of men mixed it. Praise God for His plain and precious truths! ❤️

I honestly think that the heartland and the meso American model go hand and hand. I don’t think people can separate them out and be accurate. Beside that, the point of the book of Mormon is to teach certain holy principles that bring us closer to Christ and is less about historical accuracy because it’s a historical narrative anyway as Mormon says, in the words of Mormon. It was written by the hand of Mormon and inspired by Christ himself. It teaches us the cycle of societies and how they rise and fall. If anybody is confused about what is happening in America right now, they need to read the book of Mormon. For it is a prophecy of the nations.

Speaking of devoted missionaries. Our grandson, while serving a mission in the Northwest was helping on a service project clearing up a property. He got his little finger in a log splitter and cut it off halfway down. After passing out, and being rushed to a hospital 45 minutes away, they wrapped it well, and planned surgery for the following Monday. But he still insisted on going out that afternoon to visit and to look for those with which to share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.😊 Losing that finger had to be traumatic for him, and also because he's a great guitarist as well. His dedication really touched my heart.❤ He was also blessed since it skinned a bit of the finger next to it, but didn't lose it too. Thank you Steve for your friendship with these young servants of God, and for your love for others.

@@MormonBookReviews so your saying not wanting to waste their time makes them a coward ? I think what you are saying is your critic's are scared of you because they know how great you are. Do not confuse this church with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The present themselves as Mormons. This organization is the result of actual church members that left the church and started the church called the reformed Church of Christ. They do not have the authority of the Priesthood and have no authority to perform ordinances. In essences they are in the eyes of the LDS Church, Apostates

I've always wanted a copy of "The Nephite Records." From what I understand, the title change was an effort to rebrand the Book of Mormon as "Mormon" became synonymous with the Salt Lake church and polygamy. Church of Christ with the Elijah Message and some of the Church of Christ (Temple Lot) break-off groups use this edition.

I’m Community of Christ/RLDS and I would love to see The Church of Jesus Christ create/publish a single volume 2-in-1 of the Bible and Book of Mormon. I would be willing to shell out some cash for that. I would love to see Community of Christ/RLDS adopt the Orson Pratt chapter and verse to help standardize the Book of Mormon. Most Book of Mormon study guides and materials follow the LDS chapter and verse so it can be cumbersome for me if I don’t have my LDS Book of Mormon. 😅

Re: 28:00 I grew up in The Church of Jesus Christ in Detroit, Michigan at a branch building built in 1956. Our classrooms had a mixture of the 1950s edition as well as a few old 1934 editions. I remember the old editions had an errata sheet pasted into the back inside cover, listing misspellings and corrections apparently found after the book was printed. These weren't substantive changes but rather things like "as" should be "an," etc. I'll see if I can find a 1934 BOM.
