the problem is the government tagging the import duty to the purchase price of the car in dollars.... this government is sh#t... they are telling us we should not price in dollars but they are using dollars to tax us... the importer has to do the exchange rate and not the government... you are taxing products to be used in Ghana... the profits stay in Ghana.. if they have a standard domestic rate... based on eg engine capacity which is a fixed cedis amount then exchange rates would not sky rocket.... there should be a tax band... eg up to 999cc is 20k then from 1000cc to 1999cc is 25k and etc...to compound it the other smaller taxes are also dollar equivalent... that's madness.

Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.I actually have not heard any horror stories about the steering change-over, because of the VITZ have been changed over.So I do not have any negative thing to say about those cars.The positive thing is that, compared to their American counterparts which tend to use the 1.5l(YARIS) the VITZ and BELTA(usually use 1.0l or 1.3l engines) which are very fuel efficient

Nice tutorial, but what a poorly designed system. The search box for "Make" and "Model" require you to enter numeric codes, and there is no note anywhere on the website to inform users of this fact. Also, searching by VIN doesn't work. Typical Ghanaian incompetence.

That’s difficult to say: but the salvage cars are popular people they make economic sense because when they are sold as salvage it costs less and they can fixed way cheaper in Ghana than in the US
