Thanks for the video! These 5 speed cat-eyes are getting pretty scarce and some of the parts hard to come by. Someone tried stealing mine and broke the steering column housing near the ignition- which is an impossible part to find without the column shifter hole. Ended up buying an OEM master cylinder before I realized it was the pedal assembly that had busted. Non-returnable part that was more expensive than the pedal... but at least I have a backup lol

Thanks for the video I was hoping it was possible to swap without having to disassemble most of dash, previous google searches scared me a little. Mine broke on me today, luckily i had some wire in the truck and made a jumper for the clutch safty so i could start it and float gears to make it home, just haave to wait on parts to come in now since no one locally stocks any clutch related parts for these trucks.

@@stanza77 The regulator may be part of the fuel filter on the later model year engines. You may have one of those.

@@stanza77 okay I was just doing some reading and it is located on top of the fuel pump. Based on the pictures, It is on top of the fuel pump hat, but can be replaced without removing the fuel pump.

So I do have a question... I have an LQ4 that has the flex plate with the spacer. I'm putting it in cat eye Silverado with 4L60e can I just use the flex plate off the 4.8l ?

If your engine has a spacer, you should be able to remove it, and just use the flexplate from the 4.8. You may have the lq9. The lq4 had a longer crank the didn't require a spacer. The lq9 used the updated shorter crank like the ls1 and 5.3.

Any ideas on the noise if grease doesnt help? I have a new pedal assembly with a new bushing cause the old bushing was in pieces. The new pedal and bushing was squeaky so i tried a few different lubes and grease but no luck and then I replaced the master cylinder but it's still obnoxiously squeaky. The only thing i can think is that it's the new pedal itself. Any other thoughts or ideas?

I no longer get have the truck but I think I remember greasing the bushings a couple of times to get them to stop. I may have used a heavy grease.

You'll have to punch it out from the bottom. Take the pan off and hammer it out.
