question for you, i have owned my 2003 since brand new and mine is having a slight stumble off idle and some slight erratic idling. I was pretty sure this was my issue but when i primed the system it looked perfect, not a drop came out. The bike has 8700 and was babied. The only thing i can think of is i had a battery die out just recently and being i put the battery in backwards....well i put it in forwards, it supposed to go in reverse and crossed the terminal. It did blow the 30amp fuse but now i'm wondering if that is an issue. Everything works fine, the bike runs excellent otherwise into the higher RPMs......just maybe a slight hiccup around 2500 rpm and intermittent weird idle. (not crazy but sometimes fluxuates around 1200-1500. Any thing to check?

Thanks for this, I got my 95' 300 explorer about half apart, just enough to expose the front portion of the starter and the starter isn't even engaged with the gears on the shaft. It also wiggles around, I'm no expert, but I'm guessing that means it's worn out. Anyways, now I have to take off the second half and get her out. There's quite a few steps, I'd have been shaking my head and probably throwing a wrench or 2 had I not seen this, so thanks again!

I have a question can someone answer? If doing it this way, does the 4 wheel drive system still stay energized regardless if the 4 wheel drive switch is turned on or off? Wouldn't you need to install a cheap on/off toggle switch inbetween?

I think I lost my seal... My Walker has been spewing oil all over the exhaust manifold and muffler... I stuck my finger in alongside the crank shaft, and it went in a good ways. Didn't feel any kind of seal... Really hope I can do this without yanking the engine.

Dope video bro do you know if a bad regulator can keep bike from starting?
@goodboyringo9716
@goodboyringo9716 2 ай бұрын
It could be hard to start with bad regulator. That hose he pulled is a vacuum hose . It leaking fuel means its diaphragm is bad letting fuel pass by. The way they work is this.... An engine has high vacuum at idle so the diaphragm opens letting some fuel pass by and return to the tank because the injectors don't need so much fuel at idle. At full throttle there is no vacuum and the diaphragm closes allowing more fuel to the injectors and no fuel returning to the tank. If the regulator isn't working right , you'll have a rich mixture or a lean mixture.

Ummm. Go to store and by hex wrench socket with extended hex. Not sure the torque applied here is accurate. Unless accuracy is not your goal, then German torque, gudentite, will do.
