I had a 400 version of these. I actually had '94 400L utility too. If anyone is wondering, don't be afraid of the 2 stroke. It didn't get super cold in TN but mine always started almost like EFI (but had to warm up). Scramblers are great even the 2wds because it's a sporty atv that still has ground clearance, you don't have to go around ALL DAY on trails.

Shoot some carb cleaner up that area where the needle valve goes. Take a qtip and stick it in it and twirl it to see if it comes out dirty. May not be the needle valve but where it seats. Correct me if Im wrong, those seats can be changed out too? Im pretty sure Ive done that before. Could also be the float itself has a pinhole leak and not raising enough to seat the needle valve

Thanks for the video. Looks like I'm 6 years late to the party. Tried to install those same oil cooler lines in my 2010 MT Base today and was like screw it, these crooked pipes are not both going through that maze to get to the front. I'll come up with something else, probably removing the crooked solid metal ends, snaking the flexible lines through, then reattaching the metal ends. Or something!
