Nice video guys. Just one point being that "Colin the Cuckoo" is and never has been radio-tagged. He's now back for his 8th year and is identified by a small spot in his right eye confirming that it is the same bird!

awesome video footage. Thank you for sharing. Nathalie's knowledge about the charing cross peregrines is very impressive and she obviously cares about them deeply.

Great video guys! I've known Thursley Common since childhood in the 1970s when the warden Ray Fry showed me a pair (!!!) of Red-backed Shrikes, as well as Curlew, Snipe, Woodlark, Redstart, Tree Pipit et al. Like you, I've had brilliant views of the Nightjars too. A very special place which your video evokes beautifully!

Sean, thanks for posting this. We live in North Somerset and have been to the RSPB Ham Wall a couple of times in October, when we were told the starlings would be there. But didn't see any! So at least now we have seen yours! Hugh

No problem Hugh, hopefully you get to see them this winter! It really is spectacular. I'd recommend December/January in really cold weather.
