Maybe those who complain are used to instant gratification, maybe they lack the intellect to understand how one strives to reach perfection through hard work and dedication. Maybe they need some special effects to make an impact on their thick sculls. Please continue with your excellent content. the majority of your viewers actually understand language and find it and excellent medium with which to share information. The reason I asked is I have a couple boxes of WRF mixed in with my WMR. I didn't realize there is a difference.
@TARandFEATHERS9 күн бұрын
So, does anyone know if a 22 WRF can be fired in a 22WMR?
@SixRoundsStudio8 күн бұрын
You shouldn't have any issues. The WRF is the predecessor of the WMR. The only difference is the overall length. A mag will not chamber in a WRF but the opposite is true. The WRF will chamber in a WMR. Check it out.

How did you remove the cartridge guides? I'm restoring my 1907 winchester 94, and I still haven't figured out how to do it.
@SixRoundsStudio16 күн бұрын
Well....those are a b***h. You have to remove the screw from the inside. Depending on year of manufacture access to the screw can be easy or hard. Sometimes through the loading gate or a small access hole. There are several good disassembly vids on KZfaq (you will quickly discover the good ones vs those not so good). Not sure what you mean by restoration...but not removing them will not have a negative impact on the work. If you can't get them out just be sure to wash and oil heavily after bluing.
@Adamu9810 күн бұрын
@SixRoundsStudio, the gun appears to be in a flood. When I got it it was heavy rusted. With only the bolt, locking lug, mag tube, hammer and lower tang assembly and barrel, thats it. The guide screws are inside like the the gun shown in the video. I think I have an idea on how to get them out but idk if its going to work.

Excellent job and it is obvious that wasn't your first Model 94. I have a Winchester Model 94 Saddle Ring manufactured in 1911 in 38-55 caliber and it was given to me by my grandfather. It most certainly shows it 113 years of age. My question to you is if I have it restored would it negatively affect the value?
@SixRoundsStudio16 күн бұрын
Sorry the time I took to get back to you on this. So the answer is, yes, no, and it depends. I have been asked this many times, both here and at the retail store. I have produced a couple vids in my catalog talking about this and also did a podcast on another channel about the same: Here is the link to one I did on my channel: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jM5-dtWWsajGZp8.html And here is a link to the podcast: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qsd0atGqqa2ZYJ8.html Give them both a watch and then if you have any questions leave me another comment. I am always happy to talk about this subject.

I saw one made in 25', do these suffer from metal fatigue? Chambered in 270, i wonder if all those thousands of 65k psi events have compromised it. Ive heard of old swedish mausers having the bolt lugs sheer, even killed a swedish honor guard. Dont want to get paranoid but if the top notch european metallurgy gives way...
@SixRoundsStudio19 күн бұрын
I have never heard of one having a problem. If you are using factory loads I can't imagine a problem.
@WalterWild219 күн бұрын
@@SixRoundsStudio Did they upgrade the bolts when proof steel came out?
@SixRoundsStudio18 күн бұрын
@@WalterWild2 So I am thinking that you might know something that I am unaware of. The bolt lugs on this (my) rifle are two, 3/8 th lugs and the bolt handle itself is also a third back up if it sets back to much. This is pretty robust. The only thing that I don't like about the rifle action is that it dosent have a gas escape hole at the front of the receiver, so in a failure, it would blow out the magazine well. If you are concerned, then I think it the best choice not to buy one.

@RookCustoms28 күн бұрын
How durable is the finish will it s rub off as you clean it?
@SixRoundsStudio28 күн бұрын
Answer to both of your comments. This is chemical coloring, just like bluing. The chemical does etch the metal. I am less concerned about it being "rubbed" of , and more concerned about it not being "light fast" and fading over time (this is what happens to the older Ruger Vaqueros) . This whole process is an experiment for me. The Ithaca will be a wall hanger and I am not too worried about that. I did do the same coloring technique on a Stevens Favorite (it came out beautiful and you can see that video too). I am holding on to the Stevens so I can observe it over time. I will post updates later as I see the results.

@SixRoundsStudioАй бұрын
I see your dilemma. Not entirely sure i understand what "does not feed" means? Does the ammo come out of the tube? Does it "lift" from the tube to the chamber? Will the round move forward as you close the action, but not chamber?
