Hook in up a generator is half the battle. When installing a generator it is important to have fuel available. If the house has gas from the utilities that is great otherwise some planning to get and store fuel is very important. I live in Florida and just bought a small generator that will power a 12000 btu ac unit, two refrigerators and my television, some lights and computer. The bigger the generator and the more fuel is needed. My generator will run almost 24 hrs on 20 lb propane or 4 gallon of gas.

Good review. My only issue with the 30” is you’re paying $115 more than the 28” (Walmart $285). Besides an additional 2” of cooking surface what else do you get? Absolutely nothing. The $400 price tag for the 30” even exceeds the cost of the 36” which has more to offer. Makes no sense price wise when you’re not getting anything else other than a slightly larger cooking surface.

I just ordered the tri-fuel version of this gen. My home has all gas appliances. I'm in hurricane alley. I have a 5 ton AC with a soft start. I have a 50amp interlock to my main panel. I have my fingers crossed it will handle the start up on my AC. Others have done it. I think it will depend on how good my nat gas pressure is.

Great video! One question: How did you re-route the power to the new opener? I.e., did you already have an outlet close to the door location, or did you run an extension cord to an outlet that's located further away? If you're using an extension cord, have you had any issues? There's a garage door installer on KZfaq that says the motors in these are susceptible to shorting out if you use an extension cord. That doesn't make much sense to me, which is why I'm trying to understand if it's really an issue or not.
@DieselLegiance2 күн бұрын
I had an outlet about 5’ away and I use a 5’ heavy duty extension cord and it works fine.

Everyone seems to have a generator but how many have enough fuel to run it. When I ask people how much gasoline they have for their generator the most common answer is 2 five Gallon cans. If the outage lasts over a day they could be in trouble. Larger generators use 10 to 20 gallons a day.
@DieselLegiance3 күн бұрын
A full tank on mine can last 12 hours so as long as I have two 5 gallon fuel cans in stock it buys me time. I don’t want to store much more than that in my garage because stored gasoline over a long period of time (say 6 months) can break down unless you’re using additives every 30 days. I just try to keep enough gas on hand to get me through at least one to two days max. If I have to drive somewhere to buy more gas, I can.

What foam cannon works well on this?
@DieselLegiance3 күн бұрын
Most foam cannons work fine. There’s plenty of pressure from the washer to work one. I would just focus on not buying too cheap of a foam cannon, but if you’re spending at least $20 on a foam cannon you should be fine.

I’ve already said multiple times that this is not the best cover out there. I reviewed it as a budget cover. Yes it’s not perfect, but it does the job. If I had a brand new Corvette, I would not use this cover. But if I bought a $25,000 used Corvette, I’d consider using it.

Does the screen look this bad in person?
@DieselLegiance3 күн бұрын
It’s not a true high definition screen, but it is much clearer in person. It’s a budget friendly radio unit. If you paid twice as much, you probably would get a better looking screen.

Oh I’ve scarped the floorboard a few times but not often. I only scrape on very tight turns where I lean the bike too far. So yes, you will scrape sometimes if you really like to lean on the turns. But in my day to day riding, I don’t scrape that often.

The lugs are taller than the sidewalls. Why do you need lugs on a mall truck. The tires don’t match the wheel wells. Looks mutrient. Setup not for me but I’m not a city boy. Will it pull a 20’ Gooseneck through the sagebrush loaded with cows and four horses on a rainy day?
@DieselLegiance6 күн бұрын
Obviously you’re not a custom truck kinda guy. I actually live in the country not the city. I just enjoy customizing trucks as a hobby. And no, it would pull that but I don’t have those pulling needs so that was not a concern. Appreciate the feedback though. Have a great day.

Aluminum doesn't work well with carbon steel (Iron + 2%Carbon) it will fuse together over time from innercrystalline corrosion. If you want to keep it, I suggest using Nickel antiseize (NOT Copper) on both faces of the aluminum as spacer to prevent rust welding together. And I'd also put blue 242 locktight thread locker on the bolts threads to prevent bolts coming loose and to prevent rust on threads and potential problems between bolt and aluminum(might not happen with bolts because the zinc coating)

Way to make a truck not be able to do truck things. I'm willing to be you don't take it wheelin to justify the lift and large tires. You probably don't haul anything to justify a 350. You're basically just a poser who wants a truck to "look cool". That poor truck is about a useful as tits on a boar. Get yourself a Jeep. Looks like you'd fit right in with that cult.

Depending on the vehicle it may or may not full disengage. In some vehicles it disconnects the front driveshaft from the trans. In that instance it's not in 4wd but the front driveshaft will still spin and make noise. In others you can't even disconnect them.
