European basketball borrows principles and ideas from european football, and the latter is an extremely rich and intricate game when it comes to tactics.

So a European team is going to win the gold in the Olympics, right?

Could you microdose shooting workouts? If so how? I’m not sure, but I was thinking that each micro workout would be different weaknesses in the shot ( like pull-ups, path flow, pickups,etc) and just learning them again everyday. Ex) 1. Ball pickups - 15 mins 2.break 3. Footwork - 15 minutes 4. Break 5. Full shooting workout - 60 minutes 6. Nap 7. (Some other skill) - 15 mins
@tjltraining8 сағат бұрын
That is solid would depend on what you need to improve on. But 15 minutes of highly variable work on a specific skill like you mentioned

The European population is twice that of America. 14% of the NBA is American. 84% of the league played AAU basketball, in America. But let’s listen to a women’s coach tell us why a continent with twice as many people, has 1/6 the elite players… but their way is better. I keep saying this. This is about prestige and power. College coaches usually are not developers of talent. They’re developers of a system. That’s literally what he’s complaining about. Them not playing a system HE likes, while being more talented. Also, the youth coaches primary job is to build skills. If you don’t teach them the system well enough… look in the mirror.

That’s def more than I would have expected. I have a question about payroll expense… does that number just represent the salary you pay employees or is the employee and employer withholding (FICA unemployment tax, etc). included in that number? I’ve been researching and haven’t been able to figure the taxes piece out yet. Your videos have been an inspiration. Respect.

But when Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, and Stephen A. Smith said this, you all said they're jealous of this era of players who are way more skilled than players of eras past. No they weren't as skilled ss fhe average player today. They were just better at the game of basketball.

When I was playing in hs (2003) we practiced 5x a week and played 2x a week. Full practice 3x and light practice on game days. Weekends off.

Not a game! We're talking about practice. Not a game; not the game that I go out there and die for and play every game like it's my last, not the game, we're talking about practice, man.

I don't understand how this went over peoples' heads in this comment section but he isn't saying "don't practice shooting". What he's basically saying is "practice mindfully." Make sure your form is correct. Make sure you're doing drills where you say to yourself "okay I'll do 100 catch and shoot shots" and then maybe later "okay, now I'll do 100 game speed 3s/mid range pull ups" etc. It's different to mindlessly running on the court chucking shots along the way for a couple of hours and go "yeah, that should do it, got about 500 shots".

Yeah not sure how people don’t understand that

Nap is definitely a good way to go, but as opposed to being on court 3 hours straight this is a better alternative

We picked up a 5th men. It was us against the HS Varsity team. We kicked their asses bad by like 20 points. I miss them days

@stactheace3 күн бұрын
This is why you see some high drafted players ending up sucking. However a lot of the players that end up superstars practice a lot themselves. Its more about selling tickets though as others have said. Megastars great one on one players make money. Also, the talent in the end is more important because the player can be trained to learn more of the skills later and if not they may not wnd up being megastars
