Good question! It naturally sheds out over the course of a few weeks, clients typically come for infills around the 4 week mark

Yes! Clarify the hair, apply pre wrap solution and wrap, apply perm solution, let develop rinse out, then neutralizer or air neutralize.

@yessenavarrete4489 күн бұрын
@@xsamhair thank you !!!! Yes, I am sure it’s genetic and also depends on how people care the hair. I know some people who don’t want to have a dry hair, but they put too much heat. I don’t use chemicals on my hair, and I don’t like to add heat, if I do, it will be just for New Year’s Eve, but I prefer to style my hair over night to not use heat. I don’t use any special shampoo to grow my hair, my hair grows so fast!! That’s why I think it’s genetics. But it good to know that there are beauty products and people who help women with their hair care!

Why would anyone pay for that
@xsamhair9 күн бұрын
Why would anyone pay for a move up? To bring the weft back up into its original positioning after 4-6 weeks, it’s also quicker and more cost effective than paying for a full reinstall each time.

@xsamhair10 күн бұрын
Its an ideal method for fine fragile hair, as long as the bonds are kept super small and maintenance is done regularly, I recommend they be removed and reinstalled every 2-3 months
@ODaughterofZionMinistries12 күн бұрын
Are these more comfortable than wefts? I have wefts and they are itchy, and I can’t have my hair in a high pony because they stick out on the sides. What kind of maintenance is needed compared to wefts?
@xsamhair12 күн бұрын
Oh no! I’ve had other clients experience this with wefts, but I’ll switch them over to a flatter weft (e.g. infinity/genius weft) and sometimes combine with k-tips. Generally speaking k-tips have the most movement and versatility with hairstyles. I don’t offer maintenance appointments with k-tips, I install them and will do a full removal and install after around 3-5 months 😊
@larissaanderson543512 күн бұрын

Thanks for sharing your tutorial! I recently purchased Honeyblonde/brown hair extensions and I am looking to perm them to match the natural texture of my hair. The extensions were only available in straight texture. I currently am using the straight hair extensions but find myself having to straighten my natural hair. Can I perm the extensions while they are on my hair? I’m not worried about altering my natural hair as I have wavy/loose curl natural hair.
@xsamhair13 күн бұрын
Great question! Glad you found my tutorial helpful. I opt to perm the extensions out of the head, I find it much easier to do it prior to the install. Depending on the method it could be hard to isolate the natural hair from the extension hair once it’s in your head. If you are adamant that you want to do it I would avoid the point of attachment completely and start further down, work in small sections and process for the minimum time, checking constantly. Hope this helps!

I’ve been doing a lot of research prior to offering this method and took various educational classes/courses. With any newer method comes pros and cons, it’s important that as professionals we take steps to make this as safe as possible, e.g. using shields, researching where the UV lights sits on the scale, checking the ingredients of the adhesive etc.

How does this work? Is there glue on the extensions that you're melting, or is this fusing with the hair in a different way? And is this a safer extension choice than big beaded wefts or glue in tab extensions? I don't want a load of glue all over my natural hair, and I guarantee I'd catch my brush on the tabs and beads on the daily! Lol🤭
@xsamhair24 күн бұрын
Hey! Great question! This is adhered to the hair with adhesive, it’s a clear adhesive and this type of extension naturally sheds from the hair, infills are done every 4 weeks 😊 I usually combine it with another method such as wefts,k-tips or tapes

@leannes108324 күн бұрын
I have 2 questions; 1) how do you remove this type of hair extension? And 2) how do you brush your hair? When I've used clip in extensions, I've pulled them out every time, because my brush got caught and yanked the whole weft out. I can't even get beaded hair tinsel to stay for the same reason. After 3 or 4 times of doing both of these things, I just gave up using extensions and just grew my hair out again. But I would occasionally like a bit more volume now I am going through menopause, because I have noticed my hair hair is thinner than it was pre surgery. Sorry, this turned into a bit of an questionaire essay lol
@xsamhair23 күн бұрын
Hey! This is a great question, for this type of extension the removal is done with an alcohol based remover to soften the bond and then smooth pliers to break the keratin down. It’s then slid out from the natural hair. I think I have a video on my page 😊 You brush your hair like normal, being gently and detangling the ends first then working your way up to the mids, once you get to the roots a recommend a boar bristle brush or a brush that doesn’t have any balls on the bristles - that way the extensions don’t get snagged. Clip ins are more prone to coming out as they are not as secure as another extension that is made to live in the hair for multiple weeks and designed to be washed in the hair. I hope that all helps!

Oh no! Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with Bellami hair, the professional hair does have warranty as long as it hasn’t been chemically treated (colored, permed etc.) Hair is a natural product so there are such things as ‘bad batches’. Definitely worth baring in mind for next time!
@E.Alicia28 күн бұрын
@@xsamhair my stylist did reach out to them since it got terribly matted and it was impossible to wear it down after just 4 weeks of wearing it, and unfortunately their only suggestion was to buy more hair. I spent so much on it that obviously I wouldn't risk spending double the amount to get another bad batch. I took great care of it - wearing a bonnet, silk pillowcase, top quality products, etc. It was an investment so I wanted to do my best with caring for it. After their reply I checked the reviews on their site, which I should have done before my stylist ordered it for me, and there's HUNDREDS, not a few, but literally hundreds of reviews that mention poor quality and matting. It's unfortunate they sell faulty products and take advantage of people not being able to return it. I'm actually looking into filing a lawsuit, and trying to contact other people who were ripped off since there's so many of us!
