So in other words, the white dwarf star is like a giant pimple. And when it gets squeezed, it doesn't die. It just releases all that energy. LOL.😂

That "parade" of sunspots as im calling it in my stream today is pretty cool. It wasnt quite the same as it was a day or two ago. Unfortunately ive got clouds and storms which may block the sun soon. It is kind of cool seeing the thinner clouds move across though.

Hello! I didn't get chance for a full explanation on my seestar issue about firmware update issue. When the update came up I click on it and it would blink out couple sec then pop back up with the request again. Over and over, and could not go anywhere else in app contents. Unless, within the 2 sec when it blinks out I quickly hit another option and I could get into app functions and they worked until I went back to the home screen then update request came back up. I reinstalled the app reset the S50 and no avail. I contacted seestar with full details they sent me a link QR code for a Emergency repair app I installed it and the problem was fixed. And the S50 updated normally all functions ok I uninstalled the repair app re-installed the seestar app from play store and All ok ok now, they were very nice about it and apologized for the issue. I just wanted to let you know in case You or anybody else has similar issue It was very frustrating at first not knowing if I had to send it for repairs But they came through and I was relieved. That's it! Best wishes 😊. Jim c. Portland or

Almost certain the UAP was a party balloon that escaped and was being blown along by the wind. Ive seen it once my self. A satellite is much faster. Ive captured the ISS moving across the sun and moon, it takes a second or less for an orbiting object to cross them both.

Can u show the Celestron picturing a Nebula?
@TheAstroRoom
@TheAstroRoom 5 күн бұрын
I would have to attach a camera to the Celestron! With a smart telescope such as the Seestar, you can see it almost immediately since the camera is built in. So no separate camera or cables needed.

On our SkyTour LiveStream channel we have a video during a lunar eclipse does show a meteor strike on the moon ... It was back in 2019 at the height of the Lunar Eclipse... Its on our channel. I love her enthusiasm and I think she caught a meteor possibly entering our atmosphere. Certainly not on the Moon... It could also be, sad to say, a reflection of lights on the road passing by... We have seen satellites pass over the Moon which look interesting as well....

I guess if a meteor hits the moon it wont be the first time or the last ! I have seen a video not long ago of a meteor impact ! It was just a big flash and a crater about 9 meters in diameter !

@AbdurAstro

Hi there. I am not sure what is going on in that video but that is not a meteor hitting the moon. A meteor hitting the moon doesn't leave a trail like that. It just crates a sudden flash as the moon has no atmosphere.
@chrishebert5672
@chrishebert5672 6 күн бұрын
I agree. You would not be able to see a meteor leaving a trail as it impacts the moon.

The fact that you could see the meteor in flight means that it was passing through an atmosphere and hearing up. Lunar impacts just have a sudden flash with nothing seen while the meteor is still in flight. So, I think you caught a meteor striking earth's atmosphere that just happened to pass in front of the Moon, which is still an amazing catch though.

@TheAstroRoom
@TheAstroRoom 8 күн бұрын
Meteors impact the moon everyday 😃 but I’m not aware of a website that tracks or predicts them. However, I just found out that NASA has a lunar impact monitoring program (Meteoroid Environment Office). This is what their site mentions: “Observations are taken between New and 1st Quarter Moon and between Last Quarter and New Moon, when the solar illumination is between 10 and 55 percent. These conditions yield 10-12 observing nights per month.” Interesting because I captured this meteor on first quarter moon 🌗 phase!

Sorry I missed live. Watching at 5AM. Pulled an all nighter last night. So much fun. Learning about sky interference. Clouds(3 levels), fog, humidity, atmospheric dispersion, smoke from fireworks, wind, polution. A lot to overcome. I have had similar capture issues, clear skies to the eye but the scope has challenges. Eastern Veil, Andromeda, packman, Saturn and Pluto.

Here in Central Indiana, the skies are hazy more often than not. I believe that it is airplane contrails spreading out throughout the day. I can see them spread out. Some days I don't see any at all. It depends on the temperature and humidity up there. I'm Bortle 5 here. I'll try this nebula the next night out. I usually run my SeeStar in polar mode. I put it on a wedge I made and use an app to trick it into thinking I'm at the North Pole. It can't see anything south of the equator, though. I've done all of the circumpolar targets repeatedly. I need to branch out
