I did this once

I am not lying, not trolling, not looking for attention or anything, but I DID 100% fight Mingy as Mumbo. I promise that I did. Here’s my explanation down below: Okay, so I remember I fought and beat Mingy with Banjo like normal, back in 2005ish. It was my first playthrough. Anyways, I had a couple of other files. And for some weirdo reason, that extra’s menu that you go on in the main menu, that lets you fight the bosses, well it was missing the bosses I faced in worlds 1 through 5. But all the other ones were still there. All the way to Grunty. Anyways, something was up because I was also missing some mini games. I don’t know if it was my cousin’s fault or what, because I remember they were staying with us for a couple of weeks and they would play my games sometimes. We were all roughly in middle school, ending elementary. Anyways yeah, I didn’t know if I should blame them or if it was just the cartridge erasing data again. Because for some reason, alot of my games would do that. They’d earse on their own sometimes. Very few times I could get my files back by turning off and on the game a few times. But usually it wouldn’t give me back my data. Mario 64, OoT, Majora’s Mask, and even some SNES games always did this to me. But never like Tooie where my files were okay, but my extras weren’t. I eventually played again a few years later, replaying one of those other files I had. File 2 or 3. I had left off somewhere at the beginning like Glitter Gulch. So I just re-played the game like normal, and got all the way back to the. Mingy Jango fight. I thought, “Hey it would be cool to do this as Mumbo! But you probably can’t since he cant get there. Only Banjo could jump that high,” I thought. I eventually made my way to the boss fight again, and I 100% remember the fight just starting! No cutscene at all! The floor closed and I was able to fight him as Mumbo! Ask my sister! Lol like if that makes a difference huh? But we both saw it. I died easily, and when I went back for round two, Mingy was swinging his stick in the air, and he’d catch it. Over and over, and he’d laugh like a villain but no sound came out. And that was it. That was probably 2007ish. Anyways, come 2015ish, and I watch Nintendo Capri Sun’s lets play and think to myself if anyone else had ever fought Mingy with Mumbo. I wanted to see if he was beatable. Imagine my surprise when I google search and to see nobody has ever done it! Infact, people saying it’s impossible! Like I said, I am NOT lying. I’m not trying to make a creepy pasta or whatever! I want answers! Lol. I really want to know why my Copy did that and if it was just a freak accident or is it possible to do it again? Like would GameXplain or someone tech Smart please tell me what happened? Lol. Something similar happened to me one night playing super mario world. The Mario who walks in the upper left corner of the world map started shaking his butt. I was scared as fuck! Then my game froze. It would do that now and then. Just freeze and show a bunch of colors and make power up noises. It was old and covered in soda and other kid mess stuff. Anyways, Years later, and I mean yeeears later I find out that there was originally a tanooki mario Sprite in the game, but Nintendo took out that power up during development. Well, the sprite of tanooki mario in the world map shaking his butt was the same sprite i saw as a kid and scared the crap out of me! Its still on the cartridge despite not being used. Thats the scientific explanation! When I was small I thought Mario was trying to scare me lol. Anyways, is there any scientific reason like that to why my Tooie erased only certain data and why I fought Mingy as Mumbo? Love when short oldish vids like this show up on my frontpage. Banjo-Tooie is a great game. I was replaying it a year or so ago and decided to just turn on Mixer, and a few people were bored enough to watch my antics. People love Banjo, it seems! RIP Mixer

Mingy Jongo should have been one of the bosses that you could have defeated using either Banjo & Kazooie or Mumbo (with a projectile enhancement), sort of like how you could defeat Lord Woo Fak Fak as either normal or submarine Banjo & Kazooie

It's too bad that you can't interract with Mingy. Maybe it could be where when Mumbo returns to Banjo and Kazooie, he warns them about the impostor which changes the cutscene where they meet Mingy.
