Sierra you are a big inspiration to me I'm playing Ariel in my school play and you act so well when I grow up I want to also act on broadway shows I am already doing acting at Durban acting school I was in the production of Sinbad the sailor I can't wait to meet you one day at one of your shows who knows we may even be in a show together and by the way I'm only 12.

This needs said: Ariel is a terrible person. She needs her ass beat. Falls in love with a dude after seeing him once (this is after being in love with a statue) then puts the entire kingdom, her familys life on the line, and makes a deal with a witch to become human, and in the end gets rewarded for it?? Somebody beat her ass. I like the version of the fairy tale where the prince marries the other girl thinking that was the girl who saved him and the mermaid turns to sea foam with a broken heart. Thats the original original version. Pretty sure some shit updated it with that daughter of air thing because the mermaid wasting away made people sad. The original moral was dont make stupid and hasty decisions like dumb ass Ariel did. I hate Ariel so much. Loved her as a kid but I rewatched the little mermaid as an adult and was wishing Triton would drag her ass back down and give her a good paddling with his trident.

It's been closed for 10 years, It was a stupid move on Disney's part, they closed it as a temporary thing to open Little Mermaid and they were going to put it in a new theatre, it never returned.

Jared Goerke the thing is, though, my grandparents saw this musical live either last year or the year before. And I saw a trailer for a rebooted version. I don't know about you or anyone else but that tells me it hasn't closed. This specific musical is still going.

The show closed on Broadway in 2007. There are touring productions, but this show is closed. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is currently in that theatre.

A revival is when a show comes back to Broadway This show hasn't came back Disney has never brought back any show but I see what you mean

Zack Dean I agree. I loved the Broadway production! It's my favorite disney movie. The only thing they can change is the mermaid costumes (maybe make the tail a little more obvious? Like, the skirt and the tail just flow together and you can't tell what's what? Get what I mean? Keep them on heeleys though, and the tail in the "swimming" position is creative and fantastic. I don't like productions that feel they need to "fly/ swim" the actors. It looks messy and while it looks cool for a hot second, you remember how expensive it might have been to fly everyone and what the Broadway show did worked so well!) When Disney picks a show to revive, it needs to be this one. It deserves a second chance in a better time then when it premiered.

Zack Dean Well with one of them they can't revive it at the moment anyway (Lion King as it's still going)! Talking about broadway revivals, they revived CATs last year in the west end, so it's likely to be revived on Broadway as well soon!
