A nice garden layout, thanks for sharing. The Stanley doesn't seem to be moving slowly, for a tram. Did you say it has a slomo, or did I misunderstand?
@gasmith8412 күн бұрын
@@JasperKloek It does indeed have a slowmo Jasper. The Stanley's owner was deciding its running speed, not me 😇

A very useful run through of fitting radio controls. Remember, you can always fine tune things after test running out on the track with a train to haul.

Thanks Geoff! Both Firing and Driving a steam locomotive is quite an artform, it is quite a challenging "balancing act" that most people do not realize. Oftentimes operating a smaller locomotive is more "tricky" than operating a larger beast! This is a well-presented video! What a fine day you had Geoff!! ;-)

Thanks for the fun video, Geoff! As is my usual habit to better enjoy the small steam portions, I slow the playback to 75%..... and to my weird ears the organ music was a bit more tolerable, and even more distorted, LOL! The RTM Tram Museum looks to be a fascinating place to visit in person, lots of stuff to see.....! Looking forward to Part 2..... ;-)

A big shout out to you Geoff for posting this video! My 23 year old ‘Katie’ started to develop serious running problems,lack of power, steam straight up the chimney to name but a few problems. After ordering a cylinder service kit and watching your video on valve timing the old girl lives to pull another train!……THANK YOU!
@gasmith8412 ай бұрын
I'm glad to hear your Katie is back up and running. Starting with a blank sheet and tasked with sorting out the valve timing is one of those jobs that you can describe on paper or over a pint at the pub but you really need to SEE IT DONE to fully understand the process. That's why I made the video and it's proven to be very popular.

The hall looked very dark and gloomy but I still would’ve loved to get there. Some superb scenic modelling there, but how much of that would be practical out in a the real outdoor environment. Very good indoors but these layouts have now evolved into indoor modelling.
