Why would you want to save them tiles. its clear they would be unpreparable let alone ugly. Time they cleaned that floor they could have layed new tiles. People with zero building experience ect will fall in to the time trap and multiple mistakes.

For the fridge, You cant get the coil soldered and more frion put in it. I have had it done. And in Italy. 2 fridges in the kitchen is nice!

I love the kitchen floor tiles but would paint the wall tiles white. It would be wonderful to put a wooden ceiling up as the old houses often had.

She seems to be picking up some English from her parents. What a great childhood she will have there and an olive grove to inherit.

Why don't you use a "drop ceiling" Easy to install and if you get another leak it will be able to easily replace the panels and it will get rid of the ten foot ceilings.

Wonderful episode! You three seem to be doing much better! Perhaps someone has suggested this but you could put a light framework of wood strips on your kitchen ceiling and then attach panels to it. That would even out the bump from the drywall and create a bit of airspace above the panels. However I DO think the panels are a good idea. The air conditioning unit you have is almost the same as the one I use at my home. But mine doesn't have a heater! Could you tell the brand name of the one you have? Keep up the inspiring work!
