I got the exact same board, when I put the planchette down, it almost feels like it gets stuck and won't really move even if I try to move it myself. So I am not sure if it's because the board itself is not smooth enough or what the problem is.

Just an add to this great video - the battery comes off easier if you unfold the ends of the two-sides glue tape that wraps the battery and take the battery our without trying to get the glue tape with it. The connection between the tape and the frame is stronger than the connection of the tape with the battery. I disassembled my Key2 for recycling, so it was a lot of fun.

They'd probably come out all muffled. But that's true for any recorder inside a pocket as the material will be covering the mic.

Maybe. The other option is a lavaliere mic plugged in and then clipped to your shirt collar or similar?

Is it suitable for classroom recording? I plan to put it on the table near the teacher, hope thia device could record question and discussion from students in the classroom. It is not big classroom, only max 25 students in the class. Would it work for this usecase?

Hi. I'd really appreciate it if you could help me understand if this could do the following... I know this is dreadfully old school, but as well as capturing voice notes, i'd like this to store a small amount of ripped songs. I dont care about seeing song names (i'm used to screenless Ipod shuffles). I just want to have a folder for Jazz, a folder for Dance, etc and have maybe 30 or so songs in each. I'd input them with the line in jack and just feed tracks from my CD player and also individual tracks from KZfaq. I'd be really grateful if you could tell me if this Sony could be used this way. Thanks

No too good... Its record only in 44khz . Good is 48khz.

It's a great unit, I use it as a scratch pad for recording keyboard ideas. But as of 2024, I's really like to see Sony release a 24bit or even 32bit version, and no need for any gimmicks like reverb or drum patterns!!

Yes it was phantom powered. But I can't remember if the mic had phantom power built in or the recorder.

Hi there, thanks for your review. I sometimes do a long cycle rides and attempt video/audio recordings (I've just started again after many years of youtube absence!). My audio sucks on so many occasions due to wind noise, however I found a lav mic into my phone works somewhat. With the Sony ICD UX570, does it do auto split recordings over a very long duration? Ideally I would like automatic time/date stamped recordings every 10 minutes, for the whole duration of a long cycle ride (sometimes up to 10 hours). Then I'd like to find the recordings I need via the time/date filename when I do video editing. If it does this, is there any audio lost during the saving and recording the next split? (My phone app currently losses some audio each time it saves). Thanks for your help!

I just do a clap at the start of recording. Then in my video editor (Vegas Pro) i can line up the tracks according to the massive visual peak that the clap made. If that makes any sense?lol

@@RedForShort It's a perfect camera for all my needs and what I do for my channel. The G9 is an 'upgrade' for my G90. Slighty better in my opinion as the G90 was not that bad. But the G9 feels more premium and lot more framerate options. I bought the G9 with the latest firmware update 2.5. It gives more options in framerate aswell shooting in 4K 10-bit 4.2.2. And to this one I have a problem with it. If shooting in this setting it does the job and record, but when trying to open the file it is just black and no way possible to open the file. I saw online that many has this problem as well. My pc could not be the broblem too as the spec are Win 10, core i7 7th gen 32Gig memeory on board and enough space on my ssd. As many suggested that the pc could be the problem if its not compitable (?🙄). Other than this problem im happy with the G9. And patiently waiting for the G9 mark 2 🤪😉
