I’m not 100 percent sure but I think they will start sealing up the hive box I’ll put the smaller entrance to help keep it warm and I’ll make sure they have enough honey to last the winter and they will shut them Selves in until spring I think!

Yea for me I had it on and the terrain was not allowing it to cut what I wanted low enough and it allowed me to get closer and into things better i wasn’t cutting anything that I needed it on for it to keep from scalping the ground.

Just for the future you may wanna use the front bucket and a chain and pull all those bushes up because one it just multiplies them darned things and Secondly it will tear up your bush hog over time it can bust the gears in your gear box and it can warp your shaft and Crack the deck plate that the gear box is mounted on and eventually tear up your gears for the pto inside the tractor I done that until I had to buy another couple bush hogs and on the third I started only cutting what it's meant to cut and the third one i still have 18 years later just a tip though from personal experience

Thank you! Yea I knew it wasn’t going to be very easy and now I have a grapple I’ve been cutting with chain saw and piling everything up to burn. I also have a stump bucket too that helps get this stumps out. You are 100 percent correct I had a feeling it would bend and crack and I can weld it back together it was bought to just clear the hard over grown stuff. But as I said it has loosened TS bots around the gear box as well as started cracking. Thanks again for watching and thank you for your advice! Dually noted!!

I'm sure you figured it out by now, but for anyone watching, you have to turn the idle up. Neither tractor motors nor attachments like low RPM.
@farmerhomestead
@farmerhomestead 9 ай бұрын
Correct yea when using loader or any hydraulic attachments I have it just about wide open if not wide open. But when using pto I run it a little over the 540 mark especially when chomping these bigger diameter things want to try and protect the gear box on implement and not snap something internally on the tractor. Most attachments driven by pto shaft recommend 540 rpm output so tractor is running around 22-2500 engine rpms. But yes sir I did know that maybe the noise didn’t seem as loud but it was running at recommend operating ranges

@farmerhomestead
@farmerhomestead Жыл бұрын
I just make sure my log stays are square and I use wedges under logs to lift as well as keep the log closer to the stays. And I take off smaller cuts at first I once you get flat surfaces it make it a bit easier to put a wedge under I’m glad that helped you!! Trial and error right lol

I have the same os23 sawmill I still haven't been able to get the blade tension right where it will cut without blade stopping, also in your video it looks to me like you mounted your lube tank backwards because your on off valve is going to be kinda hard to reach from operator side, but you may want it that way
@farmerhomestead

Yea I realized that last night too I changed it around this morning. I made my first cuts today and yes same thing about the blade stopping. I cut a tree I just cut down last week a poplar. And I think it was so wet that it’s clogging up the saw dust port. Which helped bogging down the blade too when I get at it again later I’ll try and tighten the blade more too and if you could keep me update as well!! I’m excited it was also twisting the cant and binding the blade that way too brand new blade maybe the angle is to much. We can figure this out together!!!
