which razor gives you a closer shave Sensor 3 or MACH 3 ? and between excel and sensor 3 which one are closer? by the way I think that the Trac II give me closer shave more than Sensor Excel. Try the TRAC II

Ken use a BIC flex 3 razor. It looks like Gillette Mach 3 but lower cost.

Do a old spice shave again vintage one

Bought one just like yours with the case and all on EBay about 10 years ago. Gave $10 for it then. Bought the vintage NOS cartridges. These are very sharp and last. Never used it but since watched your video Ken I just had to break it out and do a shave with some vintage Old Spice soap. Wow, what a shave. Great video. 💈💈💈

Seen those new sensor handles with 3 cartridges at 9,90 euros in a lisbon supermarket. I still have 2 original sensor handles and use them once in a while, although blades are hard to find these days.

The Sensor was my razor in college. It's the razor that helped me realize how much i enjoyed shaving. Will definitely have to give it a go.

The Edwin Jagger 3D Diamond DE razor with Feather or BIC blades is a great combination.

Hey Ken! Just a follow up, the blades are interchangeable! The new Sensor's blade fits the old handle, the vintage cartridges fit the new handle. You can use either cartridge on either handle! I agree, the new handle is too light! They need to add some weight.

Great one, Ken! I still believe both handles are compatible with all the Sensor blades, no matter old or new. I think in some markets they sell Sensor Excel with the new handle, the same as in this video. Some even provide both 2 and 3 blades cartridges together.

I have one of the original Sensor shavers, I liked it very much - but I grew tired of the cartridges ever increasing expense - so, back to the ol' reliable "D.E." for me. And, my usual sapone - the green Proraso. I've yet to try their Proraso after shave, but am eager to. That's so cool about your dog's natural response to the loud fireworks, looking forward to the next visit here in The Shave Den! Thanks, and take good care...

I missed you Ken, please enhance the frequency of your videos!!! You see how cheaper made are the newer products nowadays compare what they were in the past. For instance the car toys I was playing as a kid back in the 80s were robust with metal parts, now they're all plastic and cheap. Like you I love proraso green my first decent soap when started, never had a bad shave using it. And as far the lather goes do as you like. Happy 4th of July !!!

It's a little different Ken I mean I prefer the New blades instead of the old. I have two of them because one I didn't open and kept it for display and one I use sometimes when I am in a hurry

I am most fond of the Gillette Skin Guard on a metal travel handle by Parker. This has only 2 blades and they are spaced so as to not have hysteresis. Parker also makes a short metal travel handle for Mach 3 carts that’s my 2nd choice for a carry-onable razor.

The Sensor was my first razor. I bought one out of nostalgia, and it's still great. I actually use the Sensor or Atra quite often for getting around my ears as a head shaver. Personna sells Atra cartridges for less than their DE blades ($15/100). My '77 Atra is more sturdy than my '77 black beauty, and both are more sturdy than my '77 back, knees, and shoulders!

For my quick shave, it's the Gillette Mach 3. Good feel; and the blades do well. Plus, the Mach 3 was given to us in the Military. I got comfortable with the performance from the Mach 3 Razor. Against the grain? Well, my skin is too sensitive for that, but with a DE razor I can. For the quick, down and dirty, it's the Gillette Mach 3.

Great shave. My nearest Walgreens sells the Atra Plus and Sensor cartridges, though the handles have been discontinued for a while now. Have a good one!

the old Gillette cartridges for sensor excel and mach 3 blades were sharper and smooth. the newer refills carts are blunter n rough idk if Gillette does it on purpose for their flag ship 5 blade to appear sharper and smoother

I just got this razor from eBay. I agree the handle is too light but it shaves well. I normally use a DE but this is good for a quick shave.
