It's been a long time since I've felt so supported, especially on this topic. Thank you for sharing your experience and this loving and patient approach. I think that's exactly the perspective I've always been missing. Now I like Sweden even more than I already did. And I'm very happy to have found your channel, which is so different from so many others.

This was very well done, so thank you. I am a calm person by nature, and selling seems to be the challenge I struggle with most recently. i have yet to even start an email list, however do have the website, SEO, a solid following among the platforms. Asking for the sale of my art feels like the hardest part. I may need to slow down a tad and reevaluate a few things, but this was helpful. I appreciate the work you put into this video, so thanks! Tony

Thank you, Louise. It's so good to find someone who feels the same. After I left social media 2 years ago, it's been a slow journey of finding my tribe, but it's been much better for my wellbeing. I really enjoyed this video 🤗

You're a human being not a machine. Our schooling system in the United States is still at its basis designed for cranking out factory workers with the dawn of the industrial revolution, and that mentality has seeped into everything, hence multi-tasking came into being, doing more in smaller and smaller spaces of time. Be you. Your viewers will look for you and when you post they'll watch. The ones interested in you will look up your channel because it is authentic and wonderful to listen to you. Thanks again.🙂

Thank you for this. It is very helpful and refreshing. In many ways KZfaq is a wonderful platform. It's one of the few platforms I know where you can actually curate what you wish to see. I love that. But I don't know about the algorithm, sometimes I've searched for a content creators video and never found it. Or I had to search for the name of the creator rather than the channel to find their content. This was a very 'calming' and very informative piece. You also have a very calming and great speaking voice!

Hey Louise, I'm 6 weeks in my own journey with a creative business and trying to promote it on social media (currently instagram only) and discovered you two weeks ago when I already felt a bit tired from instagram after such a short time. It really gave me hope finding you, and to know there are people doing their creative business their own calm way and that this might also work. I now have the plan to also try this in my pace and continue as long as I'm having fun with it. When it doesnt work out it's not for me and if it does - great! It probably needs time and patience and not over interpreting stats. So the advice I got from you I kind of want to mirror back. Please keep on doing youtube your way (and of course only as long as you enjoy it). Your videos are so lovely to watch, the calmness yet so inspirational. I'd wish there would be way more content like this but glad I now found you. Anne

Hi! 2 years later 😂 but I found your message very inspiring, my first language is spanish and I'm living in France, I struggle with speak naturally and with confidence, I guess is also practice. I hope I can find my personality in this language and I loved the part of "not taking it too serious" thank you! That's one of the reasons I like youtube, the content is not fast food content ❤

I am a published writer and I am writing my second book. I was so afraid and terrorized at the idea that I have to post more on social media, I dont even have social media. But in the same time I wish to interract with the people that I write for and make meaningful connections through my art. Thank you for giving me hope, clarity and the courage to be myself in a new way that suits my needs ❤🫶 I love the calm voice and presence!

My life fell apart a few years ago and I was really lost, but for some reason I decided to start writing again, which I hadn't done since before high school. This month, I finished the final draft of my first novel and I'm trying to self-publish it. I've also been on writergram for almost a year and...yeah, it's been exhausting and frustrating. I've made one good friend and get a few likes on each post (mostly other writers), but I thought the problem was me. I just needed to post more, make more reels, do more, but I'm so glad I found this video and your channel. I've started watching more of your videos and I can't wait to start putting it all into action. Thank you so much!

Hi Louise, Recently, the KZfaq algorithm introduced me to your channel right when I was on the verge of burnout, and I have to say it helped me so much! I'm absolutely captivated by your content and the calm, inspiring way you share your work. You've even inspired me to start drawing again after a long time (today, I did my first bird sketch!).

What a breath of fresh air you are in an overloud, over-the-top world. Thank you for helping me see and think differently at a time where - after 40 years in business - I have learned that I need to do things differently and CALM has been my mantra for around 9 months now, so this video really resonated 🙇‍♂

So grateful to have stumbled upon your video. I've been wanting to get off social media for years or reduce my usage but have always struggled. This video made me realize it's okay to not want to keep running on the hamster wheel that's Instagram. I'm so burned out. I never heard of calm marketing before but this speaks to me so much and makes a lot of sense about fostering relationships with clients. Thank you for making this video accessible to us. I have a fear of "offending someone." 😱It's too easy for malicious individuals on social media to destroy your reputation and business nowadays, especially when you're starting out and don't have the review numbers to absorb the impact. Restarting a mailing list is on my agenda. Previously, when I added a signup on my website, it attracted spam from bitcoin schemes and bots, and I deleted it, but the advice makes sense, and I feel motivated me to try again. To find my people, I might just include it in the back of books this time. 📚

I am so very grateful I came across this video and your channel. I am currently in the midst of starting an art business as an introvert and an HSP with anxiety issues. The last 8 weeks I have forced myself into the real world and gone to art markets. It has been scary and exhausting and wonderful. Your advice really resonates with me and I'm so relieved because I've now decided not to start an Instagram account. Thank you for saying it's okay to have a website and an email list and be boring. Because that's who I am and I was about to make a mistake and try to be someone I'm not. Much gratitude!

And lets not forget: all that AI does is repurposing stolen creativity from real peoples art. It's actually original human artworks that are behind it. I'm curious as to how this will be handled in the future, on the law side of things.

hi sweety, Just my thoughts. It was so affirmational and so ensuring to have someone say those words in to the camera. Keep going girl. Love the trajectory you're on. Making art teaches us the art of being alive, and all the beauty that we may find for ourselves we can share through what we make visible on the canvas. And just like you say, people crave that vibe, they crave that space you can get into, while making art. Its a glimpse of what life should be like, what it means to be human. And the darker it gets, the stronger that longing becomes. I feel the same way. Keep calm and keep at it. Sending you love

Wonderful list! You might also like Uffe Boesen. He is from Denmark, I believe. His abstract flowers are definetly not old school washed out watercolors. 😃He paints also landscapes and amazing portraits. And also, Titus Meeuws. His KZfaq vlogs have this slow and calm living vibe. And Ali Cavanaugh and Agnes Cecile. Both amazing watercolorists. Goodness, I could go on and on....

I just love the way you put this video together. You presentation and graphics are just lovely. I feel so validated not being on social media - it always made me feel blah... as an introvert who values depth of connection, I find youtube and my own website to be a comfortable and sustainable way to find and connect with my right people. Thank you so much for this! ❤
