There is a reason militaries don't make bunkers out of wood. The cost and strength vs concrete isn't even comparable. Seems like an government funded ad for "Home Innovation Research Labs.
@Mastinox803
@Mastinox803 2 күн бұрын
My tax dollars paid this advertisement? This just shows you how inept the government is. The price tag on this thing has to be ridiculous. Concrete is cheaper, fireproof, will actually survive a tornado, and lasts forever. Have you ever seen the aftermath of a tornado. Nothing built of wood is still standing. Why would you spend more money to make a product that is a fraction of the strength? A tornado shelter door should never be in a position to be blocked by residential construction debris, like inside a stick frame house during a tornado. The debris would lock you inside and it would become your coffin.

It’s not Camping 🏕️ without a Camp fire 😢 I love the smells from having campfires 🏕️🏕️🔥 🪵I love cooking 🥘 over a campfire 🔥 I love collecting & splitting the wood for campfires 🔥 it’s what my reservation is for & now it’s ruined 😒& I ❤collecting the wood 🪵 Plus! It could help the spread of fires from lightning ⚡️ ⛈️ strikes that can cause fires 🔥 that spread “if it’s allowed” & There should be water cans for every camp-sight or it should at least be mandatory to have a big water can for putting out the fires 🔥 in your fire 🔥 ring & signs that tell everyone the safety rules for having fires in their camp sights like if it’s too windy to have them “then wait” until it’s not windy to have one too etc. plus it just rained for two days 😒how much does it have to rain until the burn 🔥 ban is lifted & the camp fires keep bears away too so ugh!!!😩

A community it is. Spend time with trail sawyers and conversations revolve around saws and axes, tooth patterns, filing angles, micro bevels, wedging, binds, and all the skills they put into practice out in the field.

Please folks, don't shoot at living trees. I assume dead trees are fair game; of course you still need to have a backstop downrange as bullets can penetrate timber.

The problem is have a tornado shelter above ground or even in a cellar that is open at the top . any water proof container installed below ground will suffice . a tornado cannot grab what is not there

Did it for a summer many years ago. Nothing in this world like a large fire at night up close, with the bobcats and deer running side by side, wide-eyed and terrified, you pulling hose for all you're worth and trying to keep it from getting burned, choking from smoke inhalation and if the wind shifts suddenly you may have to literally run for your life. They never let me work on a structure fire as it's way more dangerous than a brushfire. Two tips: they told me that more firefighters die in accidents than from fires, so make sure your driver isn't a cowboy. People's sensitivity to poison oak varies a lot, so find out if you're the "sensitive type" and learn to recognize it. Pulaskis and McClouds at the ready!

Tonga forest is the biggest forest in USA, its a tropical rain forest and it should be taken carefully well, because trees are the lungs of planet earth and also the symbol of planet earth, in fact they should plant another trees inside the forest ,( RE Afforestation ) because Forest's in the world are decreasing by a huge big number
