I still don't understand why this game never received a patch. It could have been better, even if not at release. But they didn't even want to fix it. I don't think a patch would have made it a GREAT game, but it could have been functional at least.

Ive always said the first game was the better one. Honestly i prefer the more fleshed out levels and ideas the first game has. There are a few fantastic levels in 2 and so many unique ideas, but none of it really leaves an impression. Its do this fun thing for this star and for the next a completely new setting and idea. My favorite galaxies in 2 were the ones with multiple real stars, like how space storm and cosmic cove each have 2 unique missions with a secret star. I liked the settings and wanted to see more from them but felt let down and pushed into some other gimmick i dont like nearly as much. Quantity over quality is a great way to describe 2, so much slapped together but with much less care than the first game. A lot of the stages were really good its just they were too short and never really felt like the gimmick was fully explored. Thats why i think i liked the longer galaxies more, they had more time and more chances to be memorable and to be a fun time. Also a few of the levels (honestly in either game) didnt even feel like “galaxies” they just felt like mario level floating in space just like 64 just like the fluddless sections of sunshine just like 3d land and world. Galaxy 1 is not a perfect game either though, theres still quite a few criticisms i have with it, like a few of the galaxies feel like filler, drip drop, flipswitch, hurry scurry, big mouth, none of them really do anything other than display one thing and thats that. Flipswitch shouldve been a star in good egg since theres a secret flipswitch panel section and theres the save luigi star that is pointless. The two water ones arent very good, kill 3 eels and grab the gold shell and go back to the start. Hurry scurry is the worst of them all though, a full galaxy that takes up a slot in the fountain has a HARDER VARIANT INSIDE A LATER GALAXY, the secret star of sea slide is just what hurry scurry shouldve been. The purple coin missions on a few stages were terrible, namely seaslide and dusty dune, but id say even more of the purple coin stars from galaxy 2 are terrible and not fun. The garbage dump stars, all 4 across both games, are honestly the most boring tedious GARBAGE. I replay the games a lot, but when i have to do any of the garbage dump stars i get angry cuz idk if ill beat it first try, how long am i gonna have to spend doing this? Theyre not awful but like why, they werent fun. Neither game is perfect, but god damn are they fun and amazing games. Two of the best games ever made.

The game dev studio Treasure have some great autoscrolling games. Like Sin and Punishment for example. Amazing game design.

You know what other Smash game I find underrated? Smash 4! (Especially the WiiU version) While I understand that people enjoy Ultimate better due to it's massive roster and more competitively viable gameplay gimmicks, I feel like Smash 4 did a-lot of features right that Ultimate did wrong, such as Ultimate removing or ruining many of those fun features that had pre-existed in Melee, Brawl, and Smash 4. However, setting that aside, I do agree that Brawl has often been very underrated at several times between 2008-2023. The only thing I really hate about Brawl is that since it's a Wii Game, the game may often crash with horrible beeping noises that hurts the hell out of my ear's hearings (even when playing it on an emulator), and unfortunately the easiest way to avoid that is to just not hack/modify the game if I still want to play it, which gets boring over time because the unhacked vanilla-Brawl has gotten old & stale after so many years had passed since then. I still agree that Brawl in general is good, though.

I started my game collection last year and I already have an N64 with 2 games a Wii with like 12 a Wii U with I think 7 and a DS with 1 I’ll start focusing on one from now on since it isn’t that practical to get different consoles with varying amounts of games, thanks for inspiring me to continue my journey!

It’s really just a matter of privacy, especially when you have a large audience. I by no means have a large audience, but I prefer not showing my face, not using my real name, etc. I like having my online identity separate from my real identity. It especially helps if you try getting a job at an establishment that checks your social media.

I agree with the top comment. Like myself I've never shown my face on the internet ever. I don't plan to anytime soon and I do wear the mask that anonymous wears and by the way that happens to be a mask that will real people in for views.

I'm a bit older than you. I grew up in the late 90s and early 2000s. My big regret as a child was that I placed the games on the shelf, and I didn't get rid of the plastic and jewelcases. But I did get rid the cardboard boxes (aka big box) for my PC games. Or correction, they piled up and my mom asked if she could throw them away and 10 year old me said yes🙄. My 2nd regret (which I did rectify years later) was that I traded in my PS2 for an Xbox 360 and sold all my games. I love my Xbox 360 but I should have just paid the full price instead of that stupid trade in. The biggest mistake in my life was selling all those mint condition PS2 games. I have since bought them back. Some new and some used and like mint condition, for sometimes the double and triple price of what I initially bought them for back in the day. Buying a PS2 and regaining my former PS2 collection as a kid was really what got me into collecting and I've expanded way past the games I owned or liked as a child. I also collect for Xbox 360 and a little for PC. My 3rd mistake which is less crucial and really not something you see coming before its too late was having all the PC games placed on a shelf facing a window where a lot of natural sunlight shines in trough the day. They stayed like that for my entire childhood So they've become sun bleached. I dont ever plan to sell them though so its no biggie. But its still a little annoying:P
