He was pretty good, but George Carlin was the best EVER. JS

saw him live with my wife in arizona. funny? yes. also a bitter and misogynist pig. he asked for a volunteer from the audience. if I was the father of the young girl he chose, he would have died a LOT earlier. people leaving the show were ALL complaining about how he was NOTHING like his taped specials showed.

Gallagher was an angry, bitter man and it came through in his comedy. The older he got the meaner he got.
You have to be effing STUPID ? .. you call this guy funny ? best comedian ever ?…..it must be all of that smashed fermented fruit you’ve been exposed too….(“best comedian”…now that’s hilarious )
@jim51997 күн бұрын
Respectfully, IMO, the guy's not funny. He's more like an embarrassing relative trying to get a laugh; he was in his own universe.

Gallagher lived near me in Richmond, IN in his later years, and even performed in tiny Reily, OH outside of Hamilton at a little bar. I wish I would've gone to see him there!

I was privileged to see him many years ago in Ventura CA. He was great. It is a true shame he isn't with us any longer.

I saw him twice live many years ago. He was funny. But there’s a reason why, if you ask most people to name the top (or top five) comedians, he’s not on that list. He wouldn’t have made it in my top ten.

To tell you the truth, he'd be more funnier that Seinfeld or Lucas. I like his jokes and how he tells it. Other men that do laughs just make the punchline wrong. But this guy makes it funny. So fun, so cool. I'm watching this like it's Saturday night live

Even though this is back a ways, he still makes good points that we don't think about.

I saw him live a couple of times in the 1990’s. He is not the best who ever did it but he deserves a spot in the hall of fame and the top ten of the last century.

Gallagher was such an incredible intelligent comedian. I could laugh all day watching him. He made so much sense ! I was lucky enough to see him in concert once , that was the most entertaining show I've ever seen. He tells the best stories! RIP we will remember you fondly.

I'm a child of the 80s and remember how amazed I was when I discovered the Marx Brothers decades afrer they were long gone. I legitimately never knew who Leo Gallgher was, clearly a tremendous comic talent, but I will absorb every last bit of his comic genius I can find. It's a crying shame more people didn't witness the genius of his comedy.
