Not only does it showcase the power of the human spirit, it reveals the love that Australians have for one another from generation to generation. This is a bizarre ad. The version I've seen on TV only showed the first two segments (blue car and red car) and the text at the end is only shown for a brief moment. I thought it said "Don't TRICK yourself....." and only now after pausing the ad do I now understand the theme and message. I still think the ad misses the mark. The dominant feature is watching people react negatively to what should be very cool features of the cars. Why would I want to buy a VW if I see people getting depressed about having one? That's my take on the ad. I sure others see it differently.

Dumb ad! And that Asian old lady…? Please! Not one ounce of credibility in the ad. I switch channels or turn the sound off of this song that I loved but some ad agency now ruined it.
