Bravo to Andover for creating a performance that can highlight all ability levels and body types! This is the kind of inclusivity that we need to see in ballet!

This was not just a chance to hear from Andover graduates who have carried Non Sibi forward, it became a real siren call that I wish many leaders around the world would have an opportunity to hear. Thanks to the entire panel for presenting their insights and ideas about what we need to actually do going forward. I really had an extra appreciation for the panel. I’m class of ‘75 so I experienced that shift that we really eased into when the two schools merged. There’s no question that both schools gained from it. This panel is proof. Additionally, I appreciated the discussion from the connections to my own naissance. I’m definitely of New England stock, but I was born in Lagos, and also lived in Ghana. When I applied to Andover, I was coming from Ghana and my older brother came from Nigeria before me. I’ve often wondered if we counted as Connecticut kids or African kids in the demographic records in GW. Thanks for the experience this discussion provided.

This screams rich and privileged. I did not hear anyone complain about the tuition. $85K a year tuition... Who can pay for that yearly except the well off.

This comment screams poor and seething. Yes, we who attended schools like this are from very wealthy families. What of it? If you/your family had enough wealth that sending your children to schools like this wasn't a financial burden, wouldn't you do so?

More like 70K a year. It's very expensive but admissions is need-blind (money doesn't factor into the process) and I'm sure the aid is generous and the education is top-notch.

If you are poor, then you can, but if you're not poor then you can't 😁
@greenartSTEM_16 ай бұрын
Of course! Andover is need-blind, so it doesn't process into the admission process. Also if you need money or financial assistance, regardless of how wealthy you are you can still be granted fin aid.

I keep watching this documentary and learn something new every time. All of the important points are made in a precise, personable and entertaining way. It’s a film that is on a very specific topic and place but it can also stand on it’s own. You don’t need to be part of Abbot or Andover to “get” it but you certainly end up wanting to be a part of such a vital community.
