Gen V should be out around late summer/early fall next year, then I expect season 5 in spring 2026. And yeah, it's going to be nuts! Hopefully it'll be less like the real world, or the real world is less like the fearful imaginations of very talented writers.

TV show reviews can change as more episodes come out, so think of the critic and audience scores as temporary until the final episode is released. It does matter, though, because at least some potential viewers might be swayed by the audience score, and that score can be manipulated.

Seen this movie for the first time in theaters on December 22. I found it to be fun and enjoyable but there were some major flaws that needed to be fixed such as first of all recasting Amber Heard with Emilia Clarke, secondly a longer runtime of 2h 32m since the first film was 2h 23m and the second movie should've been abit longer, third of all better writing for some parts here and there as well as enough screentime for Kordax to have a fight scene or two, and maybe have the Justice League show up near the end when Atlantis reveals itself to the world too. Other than that, 6.5/10 a dumb fun movie to watch on your spare time but hey, at least the CGI is better than The Flash's CGI though.

If you like it, good for you, really. You should just stop calling people that you don't agree with "pathetic, haters, regressive" and so on. Words that lost all their meaning for some times. It's just for your credibility because just by using this words in your title and description, the only answer you will have is "chill, simps, beta, snowflake" and it has discredited your point of view totally. It will make people think you can't counter their points and choose the easy way by using buzz words. It's like pissing against the wind... None of the big channel will answer you, they will simply ignore you because these words, and worse, are throw at them EVERY day. If you want to have a discussion with them, you have to upgrade your speech. If you want to create controversy, which is your goal here, try to articulate it in a better way because people don't care at all about SW anymore. To finish, no, the Acolyte numbers are not big, it's rather the contrary, they are abysmal and with House of the Dragon that will launch in four days, if the show is good, the Acolyte will be forgotten. The two cents of a random internet guy who really don't care anymore. Edit: what i would like to see, even if the show is pure crap, is someone who can articulate why the show is great without insulting the ones who don't like it, someone who can defend the show by its own merits and not calling people names because they have different opinion. Because it's here where you will be ignored: people using this kind of words wants diversity of everything beside diversity of opinion. So, are you different or just one among thousands screaming in the void ?

Would have to disagree, If that way of thinking were true then Rogue One would not have done so well and SOLO would have smashed it. It all comes down to horrible writing. If the writing was out of the park it wouldn't matter what the cast was made up of. Both Forbs and Rolling Stone paned The Acolyte in reviews and I think they are far removed from the KZfaq loud mouths that you went on about. The global views of The Acolyte was one 10th of the global views that House and the Dragon season one got with a lower budget, the numbers are not really that great when you step back and look at it. Way too much money was spent on such a subpar show that is not growing its IP but seems to take enjoyment in ripping it apart.

This opinion piece is about the hate grifters and toxic fans and a clear campaign against the show, not about critical reaction from the likes of Forbes or Rolling Stone. 13:12 I wouldn’t go straight to calling people essentially racist or prejudice against people that don’t look like them. For starters, there are a lot of members of the so-called “fandom menace“ from various backgrounds and ethnicities. It’s not just all white dudes. Only the willfully ignorant person would fail to realize this fact. The heartburn and distrust of “woke Disney” is that it seems like they are putting DEI priorities above quality and talent. Even the CEO of Disney alluded to that fact, though nothing has really changed as of yet. The critics of Disney want to like Disney… at least that’s what they say… They probably make more money off of hating it at this point, but it’s worthy of serious criticism. When you *cast* your producers, directors, and writers, as opposed to *hiring* people for their skill set, you end up with a room full of narcissist who first and foremost are there to have smoke blown up their ass and told how awesome they are because they check certain boxes as opposed to being in there because they’ve earned it or have something worthwhile to bring to the table. Having a certain skin color or sexual orientation doesn’t magically endow a person with the ability to create great art. Those attributes might influence their art, but it doesn’t equate to raw talent. One of the biggest bullshit phrases I used to believe in and then changed my mind about once I saw the results was “Diversity is our strength!” That’s a load of crap. UNITY is our strength. And you can have unity amongst people from different backgrounds, often with great results. Sometimes everyone looks the same. Black music would probably suck if they brought a bunch of whities in to collaborate. German cars wouldn’t be so great if you had a bunch of Frenchmen stinking up the place, trying to engineer them. On the other hand, take an example of a military unit that’s full of people from several different ethnicities, races, and parts of the country that will become a unified fighting force. Now you have a force to be reckoned with. But it’s not their differences that make them strong. It’s the fact that they are all there for the same purpose: to watch each others’ backs and kill the enemy. What is frustrating fans the most about Star Wars and other IPs is the agenda is taking over to the point that the end result sucks, and if you don’t like it, it’s because you’re an “ist” or a “phobe” or whatever. Now, it’s a culture war. It shouldn’t be. When Rogue One came out (which to me was the only really really good thing that came out of Disney Star Wars), it was a female lead, with prominent black and asian characters, and it was AWESOME. Pissed off fans didn’t sudden find racism in the bottom of their hearts… Disney started pushing the agenda over quality. That’s it.

Third engagement point! I do at least admire the grind and you'll monetize your haters even if you've got to create them yourself to do it, but it doesn't take a lot of effort - you just need to, y'know, talk to them in the comments and go fully racist and/or attack their masculinity and/or call them stupid and all of the other stuff. Does it come naturally to hate that much or do you have to work at it?

I was ready to give you a shot and listen, but you're just fanbaiting and it's clear with how toxic and hypocritical you yourself are. You earned yourself the desired negative comment since there's no such thing as bad press and you'll take whatever attention you can get. Someone dares disagree with you, and your fragility gets projected on to them. There's a lot of good faith attempts to actually discuss this subject with you that you simply drop to ad hominem attacks, questioning their masculinity, implying fragility for caring about a franchise that has lasted for generations of childhoods. These are the behaviors of one who will attack dissenters and in so doing provide cover for the fanbaiting that Disney Corporate Star Wars Fan Fiction relies upon for engagement. Dishonest and disingenuous, pretending to a moral superiority you do not possess. Enjoy the engagement click.

I understand what you're saying, and I too am getting real tired of the culture war grifters, who make a whole career out of being negative towards everything new. My algorithm pushes their content on me constantly and often I'll give it a watch and then need to see for myself just how good or bad it actually is. Often times their criticism is overblown and nitpicky, sometimes a show is just okay, it isn't good, but nor is it offensively bad, but these guys will decree "X franchise is dead" because of it. The majority of the new star wars/disney stuff to me has been just that. I don't really have any major emotional response to any of it, because it lacks any significant substance to steer me in any either direction. I do sort of have a problem with the whole vilification of the "Fandom Menace" as being racist, homophobic, misogynists, etc. I get it, there most definitely is an element to that in the fandom, and these grifters exacerbate and embolden these people 100%. But, I did see a comment that struck a chord with me, about how it's much like having your own thing that you like the way it is, only to have someone else from the outside come in and demand it changes to suit them, and how that feels a bit unfair. Like if two boys are playing a game together, with their own themes and rules, but then the parents come by and tell the boys they gotta include their sister in whatever they are playing. The sister doesn't want to play the same game, changes the rules and now the boys can't enjoy the thing they had anymore because they need to concede to the sister. Is that really fair? Now I suppose the argument could be made that is it fair that people have been excluded from this story for so long? pPrhaps no, but if you felt excluded from it for so long why do you still want to be a part of it? Why not go play your own game, with your own friends if you don't like the one being played? Before they acquired Star Wars and Marvel, Disney's marketing was aimed primarily at young girls, with the Disney Princesses being the obvious example. Star Wars and Marvel were acquired to draw in the audience that was primarily white and male, but now it seems they are doing everything they can to separate themselves from the fandom they bought and I just don't understand why.
@BlerdForce1
@BlerdForce1 Ай бұрын
That's a great analogy. In our society, we very much criticize kids who don't want to share or make room for others at the table. These folks in the fandom menace are very much of that selfish mindset and are screaming about not getting their way.

the absurd amount of stupidity and cringeness happening in the Acolyte needs to stop. i dont care if the actors are black, brown, yellow, purple, white, gay, woke, non-binary or a fkn airplane. I just want a good story, good acting and overall a cool and likable SW experience. Sadly, the stupid knife-throwing wannabe assassin only gets beaten by hilarious incompetent jedi and one of the most cringe scenes ive ever witnessed. Cringeworthy "thread-pulling" "space-witches" creating twins using their so-called "thread" with counting issues, singing? cmon man.. Ppl should stop blaming bad critics on the show as bigot or anti-diverse/anti-wokeness. A pure white/male cast with the same script and writing would still be the same shit.

Try to understand. People whose time is spent growing prize winning vegetables are a minority who are normally depicted either negatively or patronisingly in films, if at all. Because x is disgusted with the way they have been treated in the past, x introduces them as new characters into films, and their notable attribute is their ability to grow large vegetables. Because of that attribute x makes them better in every conceivable way than the original (non vegetable growing) characters, who increasingly only get cast as idiots or villains much in the same way that competitive vegetable growers used to be depicted. The entire imaginary history is changed to accommodate them. Because x’s motivation in changing the stories is anger and disgust with people who don’t grow vegetables, the story inevitably changes from being about whatever it was about, to proving how these people who thought they were better are in fact rubbish. Maybe not totally but x’s interest is not in the original story, but about weaving any half-arsed story around his message. Some of the audience of predominantly non-prize vegetable growers pick up on this. They don’t like it. They don’t like becoming the baddies in the stories they have come to love. Most have no hostility to competitive vegetable growers and would have been happy enough if some Jedi were prize pumpkin growers in their spare time, as long as it didn’t interfere in the story. Like you, people notice when they are being pushed out. They resent it.
@BlerdForce1
@BlerdForce1 Ай бұрын
That's a strained analogy, but I see where you're coming from, and I addressed this in the video. Much of Hollywood's history has been marked by an agenda to exclude minorities. There is now a push to change that. The resentment borne of fear of loss of privilege is the problem. It's odd that minorities are expected to just accept lack of diversity but the majority can't do the same with an increase in diversity.
