Love youre playing and technique. Im 17 yeats old and am about to college. My major is going to be music and music performance. Specifically trombone. I was wonderin if you habe any pointers on sound developmènt. My sound is good, but it just needs that little bit extra. So some tips would be great. Youre an amazin trombone player. Flight of the bumblees was great btw.

I am going to give you two tips for sound: 1. Always create your embouchure from the middle f with slow natural slurs: (Check my warmup on youtube kzfaq.info/get/bejne/e8x_gpCI3LeUqJc.html ) this warmup will helå you center each note perfectly. 2: do spend 10-15 minutes per day on flexibility, for instance: F-Bb-F-bb-d-f-ab-b and back plus around all those notes. going to second position E-A-E-a-c#-e-g-a and back. BEST OF LUCK!!

I didn't realize Nils played bass. That duet was spectacular. Also, the rare Minick alto makes its appearance! Slide looks wide on that horn, it would be cool to try it next to the 36H.

Wonderfully interesting comment! The Conn 36is SOOO superior to the Minnick, although the Minnick at that time was far ahead of any other alto on the market!!!

@@ChristianLindbergTrombone I have a 36H that I love to play. I'm so glad that you helped design it, and the Bb attachment makes the lip trills so easy and accessible. The 36H is the easiest trombone to play that I own. It's really balanced! I hope you keep posting these!

Yeah, back before widescreen TVs! I guess they did that for the shot, but she is uncomfortably close to the business end of that trombone. I think the best distance to appreciate a Christian Lindberg glissando is at least 5 to 10 meters. I was going to joke, I didn't know you could read sheet music, Christian! How rare to see you do that. Or was it just there so the other guys didn't feel bad about needing it? Fantastic playing all around. What a trio.

Wow, that's a new clip! Incredible to see how long you and Roland have been working together -- I saw you both in Tokyo a year or two ago and you two are such a great team. I think the programme and the risks you took on that recital in Tokyo (Tchaikovsky?!?) shows how far you came as an artist. Imagine if you could go back in time and tell the young guy in this video about what you would be doing in the 2020's.

Respek! How do you manage to write such abstract music so well? I already failed at a setting of “John Maynard” for a capella vocal ensemble. How much of composing is skill and how much is self-discipline?

Do you have any explanation as to why so many of the best trombonists in both classical and jazz come from Sweden (you, Nils Landgren, Gunhild Carling etc...)? greetings from Germany P.S. Your orchestration of Morceau Symphonique by Alexandre Guilmant is very, very beautiful, but I find the version with organ even better. I am currently struggling with that...😅
