That's a nice truck and a Lot of thought gone into it.

The bias against Pierce is illogical. They have won many municipal, county, state & defense competitive bids over the years which suggests they are not more costly although bid rigging & narrow specs may have occurred in a few cases. If an agency specifies loads of bells, lights & gizmos, then sure, the rig will be quite costly. This TDA is fairly basic & dependable. It will be more costly than a single axle, rear-mount aluminum body but in the end, you get what you pay for, barring the above mentioned unethical practices.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with rehabbing an older apparatus, rather than buying a new one. Ive actually seen departments rehab Mac CF's and Seagrave's. The taxpayers will thank you!

The Pierce Ascendant Tower Ladder before it was imagined. Pierce has probably done these refurb jobs like this so many times, it was destined to be one day.

Everything this guy is saying about the apparatus has been being done for years none of the stuff the was “ custom made “ has been utilized by hundreds for several yrs now.

I agree. Nothing unique here. Looks like a pretty typical modern rescue pumper. The wheelbase isn't all that short. Newer chassis have a tighter turning radius so getting around urban streets is easier.

I get your point, but all fire trucks are custom spec'd for individual departments. It is not like you are driving past a Ford Dealer and picking up a mass produced F150...

What brand emergency lights are those? They do not look like the major brands that all first responders utilize? They may be better, however I don’t know I’ve never seen them, yet they look absolutely intriguing.

Looks like a Federal Signal package, the lightbar might be an FS Navigator and the beacons on the back look to be FS SLRs. For the siren it has an FS PA-300.
