As funny as it looks, Savate has a lot of crippling strikes. You could disable people with those fancy moves.

I am really impressed with this art. I want to seriously learn it. And knowing that the great Bruce Lee studied it as well makes it even more appealing.

Tip: you know how a haymaker is the most likely attack in the street? In France it s a leg sweep done to your left leg, which if done properly, will result in you slamming your head on the asphalt

Boys and girls, don't try this at home if you don't want to regret it later 🤷♂️ This is typical 90's "self-defense" BS. Without extensive training using any of these technicks will only infuriate your attacker

Got most of the series on VHS very interesting to see this style since there is only one place in California that I know of that teaches this art/sport.

I remember being a big fan of panther videos back in the 90s. The audio and visual quality has stood the test of time these are excellent particularly this Series. It’s a shame that this master is virtually unknown outside of the JKD community for the most part

The one weakness I see in all of these combinations is that they are stopping short of the target. They maintain the kicking range and are reaching with the punches. I realize that doing this to show the beauty of the technique but if you get in the habit of doing this once you get in hand range and start reaching your vulnerable to an opponent counterattack. On the other hand, I realize that this is done this way for demonstration purposes so that we can clearly see the techniques on the videotape. Naturally adjustments will be made in a full contact type of situation

The combination,RIGHT LEFT KICK Looks great will get you hit. In boxing youNEVER Lead with your RIGHT first. It opens you up to injury

As much as I love this style of martial art, the opening combination is highly unlikely and if executed will get you killed or seriously injured. Typical street attacks don’t start by guys running at you giving you an opportunity to get that perfect distance to execute your perfect kicks. This is movie crap A typical Street attack is an ambush. They’ve invaded your personal space denying you that Sweet Spot kicking range that SAVATE seams to love. And if there are two attack us one usual positions him self on the side or in the Back simultaneously as the one in the front

It’s a pity the Martial arts world For the most part, never heard about this guy at least on the level that they know about the great American kicker, Bill “SUPER Foot“ wallace. This guy makes Bill Wallace look stiff! He has such incredible mastery over his body it rivals in my opinion the stories we’ve heard about Bruce Lee’sLevel of fitness. I’m not surprised at all that people in the JKD Camp became friends with this guy. When I was taking JKD in Brooklyn {under SIFU Ralph Mitchell}We did many of these exercises and followed his curriculum
