Townes and John Denver had so much in common. Born about the same age and died about the same age. Both were bipolar with very high IQs. Both were great singer songwriters who were held in high esteem by so many. Botth were geniuses. Both dealt with drug alcohol issues. Both were born into prominent wealthy families. I believe that if they had not died so early that they would have collaborated together. I am sure they held each other in the highest regard.

Townes had such a great sense of humor. Wish I could have met him. He and Marty Robbins are my favorite singer/songwriters.

Music is subjective. But for me, it is Townes Van Zandt and Marty Robbins. Their music just connects to me,
