I'm in my early 40's, which means I'm old as hell and fell in love with the early 3d mgs's. I never got into the 8 or 16 but ones. Metal gear solid was my first. Didn't ever have a chance to play 2. Was VERY into 3. Played tidbits of 4. Absolutely loved ground zeros and phantom pain. Never played any of the portables. I finally downloaded mgs3 tonight and found the controls very frustrating. My son and I were passing the controller back and forth. In the clips I saw of mgs3, you're moving around and shooting with a lot more ease than we experienced. I know we just need to keep at it. And the controls will begin to feel more natural.

One other good thing about the Mad Max game, there was no dlc, just some extra small stuff, the game had a few patches after release and there you have it, a complete game, something rare in the last decade, these days games are released unfinished and with dlc after dlc.

Dragon's Dogma was awesome. I have my complaints about it, at some point the game gets a little repetitive, but it was a cool game, especially with the strange mechanic that lets you pick people/things up lol

I know a guy that had spent a couple grand on Star Citizen. This same guy would not shut up about No Man's Sky lying to gamers about it's game, and still, to this day, praises Star Citizen. I have a sneaking suspicion I was on the right side of this one.

The Order 1886 and Vampyr are two of my favourite games. Maybe it’s the setting and emphasis on monsters but they are fantastic and both deserved sequels.

This game sat in my backlog for AGES. I've picked it up on PC and PS4 on sale, thinking, yeah, I'll give it a try sometime. Then, my car ended up in the auto shop for almost a month earlier this year. I love to drive, I love Mad Max movies, and it felt like the perfect opportunity to get my driving itch scratched while I waited for my real car to be repaired. I was not prepared for how good this game actually is. In 2024, it's still good.

5:28 well, during the release people didn't know if they were useless... in fact, when I first came across them, I did even use sleep on them at a point myself because it was a new souls-like release. I was also trying to parry literally everything I could to learn what can be parried.

The Wolverine game I'll probably pass on. Guessing it's a PS5 only. Second I bought a PS4 for Spider-Man. Was loving the Batman combat with Spider-Man... Until it turned into every other Spider-Man. Oh no, the city hates you, and every 10 ft you swing you're attacked by 100 robots. Shut the game off at that point and sold my ps4.

I'd love for another infamous game, having that power progression and good/evil system was so fun!
