Excellent choice of rods. I was lucky enough to be the Editor of the 'RodCrafters Journal' back in the day when St.Croix innovated the modern rod blank "nano technology" we know today, and brought it to the public. For a "factory" rod, they're still the best money can buy, IMHO. Outstanding rods, bar none... yes, they can be "pricey" for a factory rod - but you get what you pay for. (Fishermen who swear by "Ugly Sticks" won't understand... until they actually TRY one) Good review Capt.

It is called a ballasts regulator it's purpose is for brushing the shoulders to level it out and cleaning above the ties, you can think of it as a big broom

First one was a tamper. Tamps ballast rock under the ties to level the tracks. Second is a ballast regulator. Basically grades the rock the tracks sit on.

Great info. These things save lives. By the way, ACR recommends doing the basic test monthly. The full GPS test can only be done a certain number of times, then it won't test again. I think it's 20 tests.

That is not what I said. I was telling him to not reel it in any further. You want to give yourself around 5 to 6 feet of line as to not break the rod tip. Also it is a lady fish and will spray poop and blood all over the boat. So no I do not want it in the boat.

Hi i have a problem with my Yamaha 8hp 2 stroke 2010 outboard i had to change the impeller on it but when i was done and was gonna put back the lower unit i just could not do it im not sure what i have done wrong, i have watched a bunch of tutorials and for them it just slides in but i can only get in until theres just a bit more to and it just stops, Can you help?
@captaindrewcavanaugh
@captaindrewcavanaugh 14 күн бұрын
Was in neutral? If it was in a gear then it needs to slide back in what ever gear it was in. It is very important to make sure the gears are not shifted. You can try to move the gears around. forward reverse and what. This happens often.

Yes it will work for pretty much any application. You can also use any size buckets as well. I made one for a friend the other day using a giant bucket from tractor supply store he got for large capacity tank: 7 gallon bucket - amzn.to/3LW9xWe or use a large trash bin: amzn.to/3WUZJ5e

I had the low fluid problem and resolved it using the soap dispenser with a clear piece of plastic tubing. The tubing on end of dispenser makes it much easier. Now I’m getting the clicking and I’m hoping it’s a relay since it just clicks, eventually it connects and goes all the way up or down but getting it to connect consistently is the problem. Thanks for the video. 👍

I have a 2005 Yamaha F50 TLR mounted to a 08 Klamath Explorer 16.1 ft, and will be removing the restrictor plate tomorrow morning as well as adding a performance yamaha black stainless 10 1/4" dia, 15P prop that should drop my rpms back to 5600-5800 WOT. Be sure and gap your plugs before installing them they don't come gapped to specs out of box, they come generally around .025 thousandths which is too small of a gap from factory, you want .031-.035 gap then your ready to install. I generally set mine between .031-.035. at around .033.
