YOU DID THE THING LET'S GOOOOOOOOO, good job figuring the code out!

Nice job figuring out the tetris input codes, it's one of the things that blows the game wide open. Excited to see what you do with your newfound knowledge!

I will say, there's something in the waterfall zone that you're missing. A few somethings, actually. One's a puzzle solver you've seen depicted, the other is a way to reveal more.

Can you update this for 1.20? or 1.20.1 to be more specific xD

Good progress. I got really caught out in "sauna", going round and round many dozens of times killing the statues in every possible order and always ending up at a dead end!

soooo many times I've screamed, "rotate the map!" hahah. Good playthrough! When I first found out that you were going to do FEZ next I didn't think I'd watch this series because I already completed it (which getting over 200% is impossible without help) myself, but it turns out that sometimes your favorite "let's play" streamer is still worth watching. I haven't played and probably will be unable to play Tunic. Hope you try that one next. Also I purchased and finished Jelly is sticky after watching you play two episodes. :)
@buttonasasКүн бұрын
Hey, that was a completion spoiler - be careful! :P I think Brian already saw Tunic being played by somebody else, so that's not really an option - or at least not for a few years, depending on how much has been spoilt? Buuuuuut, I'm pretty sure I've heard an allusion to a very particular Tunic thing in this very FEZ series so I'm pretty sure the spoilers were very major.

5:02 Did you just miss getting the check mark for this owl because you looked at the text too long too close to daylight? I feel like the trigger should have been the initial interaction, not the finish of the interaction. That's frustrating. I'm hoping you'll notice Dot's conversation after you get your next cube or anticube. :)

enjoying the playthrough!
@qbicfeet2 күн бұрын
It's a shame you are running into so many weird/obscure glitches I've never seen before, with missing/misplaced background elements in previous episodes (the blocks near the 3x3 tetris piece puzzle), the totem pole facing the wrong direction after saving/reloading and the owl not getting flagged as found because it turned daytime before you finished the conversation. I hope they don't prevent you from enjoying and finishing the game.
@lorgon111Күн бұрын
Interesting to hear that they are glitches, I suspected a couple, but not all of those

Has it ever been mentioned how Dot is a tesseract?
@buttonasasКүн бұрын
Yeah, when Brian heard there were going to be 32 cubes (still in village), there was a comment about how that's a fifth power and some wondering thoughts if maybe the game was going to go 4D or even 5D and I _think_ Dot being 4D was pointed out.
@Tfin2 күн бұрын
Oh, good, you found the pivot in the 2D totem room! I don't need to contrive a clue about "now that you've seen the pivots..." However, you should be watching the inner surfaces when you rotate those pivots with the spinning blocks with holes in them. (I'm guessing you've already figured this out and we'll see that soon.)

Odd. My order of what I had to kill in E002 was totally different. I had to start with smile, though I still finished with me. Generated for each player, so it's not easy to just go look up the solution?
@lorgon1113 күн бұрын
Yep. Similar-ish to how the final DIS room where you have to push the 8 idols off in void-lord-order is randomized.

this series has been great! just something very very dumb that has been bugging me out... when you open the world map, Dot has been trying to talk to you in a pop up, please press B to talk to her!

Wow, another treasure collected without solving the puzzle XD Anyways, you're doing just great. Hmm, I wonder if it was possible to move the camera that much on launch? I feel like that chest and a bunch of other places (like the light god rays just... ending up top) should've been impossible to see because the camera wasn't supposed to show that far.

I really liked how you didn't use the map at all in the first few episodes and just explored freely. ...but it seems you simply didn't understand how to use it at the time :'D Fast travel animations are there mostly because it's loading something. Better to look at an animation than a black screen for a minute if it's loading :P (it could be more optimised and load faster, though, I would imagine)

Every cube has a counterpart. An equal opposite. So they count even if they are opposed. As for puzzles? There's 3 types. Your normal puzzles, your tough puzzles, and your dumb puzzles for puzzle masochists.

The language mechanic in this game reminds me of Chants of Sennar, which one of my friends played. Have you ever heard of that game?
@linforcer6 күн бұрын
IMO the language system in Chants is much more interesting than this. (Though I like the language stuff in Heaven's vault more than any of these)
@lorgon1116 күн бұрын
I have heard of it and seen a little of it, it didn't really grab me
@buttonasas5 күн бұрын
@@linforcer I mostly agree but Chants of Sennaar often treats you like a toddler, so the "interest" is limited... Meanwhile, Heaven's Vault has an actual narrative and story, which have been adapted into a book - I think that says a lot about what kind of game it is: it's interactive fiction with UI and gameplay elements (which are, unfortunately, buggy and frustrating a lot of the time - but the fiction part is great!)
@linforcer6 күн бұрын
Not 15 and change... 15 and at least 1 anti cube. The anti cubes will open these doors as well.

I rather like the progression in this puzzle series, and it seems like difficulty is scaling fairly. Now I hope for you to make or collab with someone to make a game!
@Clyceer7 күн бұрын
I realize it's the most straightforward way to make sure players have seen the relevant tutorial-type puzzles, but I still think it's neat how even within an area focused on an enemy type (such as the volcano using statues), there are sub-themes visible on each branch. Like to the left was the puzzles about making stepping stones, while after that it's been more about managing where rubble drops to try to keep enough space to finish the puzzle afterwards.

Sorry I'm late to the party, but I just wanted to say thanks for bringing us on the journey since, what, October? I found joy as we found solutions together, frustrations when I could see a puzzle solved and you just couldn't, marvelled at how deep the lore actually got with your guidance, and cried with you as we were reminded of how much like real life this game is, with no undos. So... Yeah. Thanks, Lorgon.

This is really cool. A deadman's switch is also used in railroading or other vehicles where a control has to be depressed or other actions taken; if the driver is incapacitated then the switch is activated and the vehicle stops.

I also missed having a grid view, it was one of the accesibility options I loved in DROD. Also, like DROD you are able to click on rooms in the map and it'll show you the full room as a 'preview'.

Grid View got added and you'll see it starting in episode 6
