I had a motor out on my 6th flight during training. Lost comms with my instructor but I landed safely back on the runway. Safe flying!

Ooh not ideal Drake. I had an engine out on my 4th flight, accidently hit the "kill switch" whilst trying to put gloves on. All good though 🙏

Nice views there Chris.... I live in Strichen area and didn't realise we had {a few} Paramotorists in the area. I am only at the beginning journey and doing my ground handling (with a second hand wing so that I dont trash a new one!!!), so early days for me, using the local fields and my eBay wind sock !!! Been speaking to Gordon often who has given me pointers. Practice Practice!! - Will need to meet you guys some time so you can help out a local newbee !!!!!! - Thanks and keep the video's coming, really chomping on the bit to get up in the air eventually........

Where abouts is this windmill and house Chris ?
@chrisstevenson17 ай бұрын
Hi Peter, just outside Strichen. The mansion was constructed to replace the 17th-century palace of Strichen. The barony of Strichen and the tower, and manor of the Mains of Strichen are mentioned in the Records of the Scottish Parliaments as early as 1681. The house constructed of rough ashlar granite, is now a roofless shell, partially obscured by a lean-to-farm structure erected in place of the former portico of fluted Doric columns. The landscaped grounds by William Sawrey Gilpin that once surrounded the house are now obscured by the surrounding farmland. In 1855, the estate came into the possession of the Baird Family, owners of the famous Gartsherrie Iron Works. The property was later used as a shooting lodge, and then a hotel before becoming an army billet. The building was gutted in 1954. The house is currently on the Buildings At Risk Register and is noted to be at “high” risk. 🙏

How often do you get conditions like that
@chrisstevenson18 ай бұрын
We don't often fly in higher winds Dave. Usually below 10mph 🙏
