Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup They slither while they pass, they slip away across the universe Pools of sorrow waves of joy are drifting through my opened mind Possessing and caressing me Jai guru deva om Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes They call me on and on across the universe Thoughts meander like a restless wind Inside a letter box they Tumble blindly as they make their way Across the universe Jai guru deva om Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Sounds of laughter shades of life are ringing Through my open ears inciting and inviting me Limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns And calls me on and on across the universe Jai guru deva om Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Jai guru deva Jai guru deva Jai guru deva Jai guru deva Jai guru deva Jai guru deva...

This is a magnificent piece of work by my favorite composer, Puccini and performed by the greatest of them all, Pavarotti. Your version stands with them being just as uniquely beautiful and powerfully arranged. That’s the way it’s supposed to be. Bravo! Glad to see a fellow Sun Devil doing so well and successful. Will I ever get to met you in a local Phoenix coffee shop? :)
@CharlesSzczepanek9 күн бұрын
Cool to hear you're also an ASU alum! I continued to live in the Phoenix area for another 10 years after I finished my Masters in piano, but my wife and I moved to Colorado Springs back in 2021 and have been there since. I used to love the hot summers... I'm not sure if I just got tired of it or what happened, but now I absolutely love our coldest winter days in Colorado lol. Snow + 20 degrees feels like heaven to me now haha. Maybe 16 years in the desert was just overkill and now I'm rebounding with some opposite, slightly extreme, weather wants!

I’ve just recently discovered you and your soothing style. Is there a volume 2?
@CharlesSzczepanek9 күн бұрын
Thanks, James! If you're talking about the release that this arrangement is featured on (The Solo Piano Project, Vol 1) that release just came out on streaming platforms this past Friday! There eventually will be a volume 2, yes, but in the meantime I have 2 new EPs of original music that will be released (one is all written and recorded, the other hasn't been started yet) as well as a "music for healing" project that I originally planned to release in mid 2025, but I'm not sure I'm going to make that deadline... I also haven't yet been able to start work on that.

Sheer overkill
@james-pierre763411 күн бұрын
There once was a time when I didn’t understand how there could be different versions of the same piece of music. But as my knowledge of music grew, I realized that the musician translates the composers work into his/her own style and gives their own interpretation of the original. This here is a perfect example of how an artist still keeps the original as the base while creating something uniquely different but still familiar.

Music so pure. Without electronic synthesizers, AI generated sounds or robots working the computers. No symphonies or vocals to clutter the mind. Only a piano and the skill and imagination of a very talented artist.

Come with me and you'll be In a world of pure imagination Reach out, touch what was once Just in your imagination Don't be shy, it's alright If you feel a little trepidation Sometimes these things don't need Explanation If you want to view paradise Simply look at them and view it Somebody to hold on to, it's All we really need Nothing else to it Come with me and you'll be In a world of pure imagination Take a look and you'll see Into your imagination We'll begin with a spin Traveling in the world of my creation What we'll see will defy Explanation If you want to view paradise Simply look around and view it Anything you want to, do it Wanna change the world? There's nothing to it There is no life, I know To compare with pure imagination Living there, you'll be free If you truly wish to be

Did you adapt this with your own personalization from the 1923 Century Music piano transcription? It sounds very similar.

Thanks for listening! I did it all by ear… honestly didn’t even realize that a good piano transcription already existed otherwise I may not have even taken on tackling this movement.

I just watched this movie as a young pianist and while I was looking for to play I came across this amazing piece. I felt that pain inside me. I would love to play this beautiful piece, but I looked at all the sites about you, unfortunately I couldn't find the notes. If there is a source where can I find the notes?
