Sorry if this is a bit long, overly soecific, or touches on info you know, but it’s important to understand it all, imo, to be able start reaching elite 4 consistently. Which with theblevel of randomness, will be a huge part of the final floors chances (I highly recommend checking the memebers after seeing the first elite 4 too) You should probably start switching out alakazm for any strong physical attackers i think in the mid-late game. I got nervous last episode with how quickly you were going through the floors. With solid sp. bulk, but atrocious physical bulk, you need to change habits at some point and learn to recognize some of the sneakily dangerous encounters (after floor 100 at the latest imo, and often earlier, the strategy changes imo). Use your stronger options to switch to like mega venesaur or anhialape or even something less rare with equal risks of losing your carry. Be very careful around Rayquasa too if you get there. Alakazam isn’t enough to one shot and you will be one shot 9/10. In general you (like most players) need to work on changing to different habits later in your runs especially with such a high chance of something like mist (fog?) causing a 100 acc move to miss or a simple misclick. Even with over leveling, 65 base defense and 55 base hp, you are in consistent danger in a nuzlocke. (Similarly to charizard and rock moves). You have a great feel for much of the early game and mid game is much improved, but without reaching late game much, you understandably need some adjustments and hope this helps you strategize going forward.

I think it’s offering the orbs for abra. I think the magic guard would make a burn or poison not damaging while preventing other status effects other than confusion. I think a flame orb actually makes most sense. Attack is not important for abra and toxic would cause massive damage if the ability was disabled by something like weezing

Are you going to try to get another passive now? Should be easier with abra and charmander having their passives now. If triage affected leech seed id say get paras’s, but giga drain w/priority could be nice regardless, but it feels lkke the deva. Essed up considering how hidden or passive usually hav some synergy with the egg moves. They gave leech seed and sappy seed neither of which help triage or Damp be better in game. Charmander line is a funny case because it seems like they’re trying to get people to set up as a attacker with a -Spd nature to make sure attacking stats are being boosted from the passive rather than speed.which makes more sense on a different type in every way except for to making the x4 rock weakness easier to manage, but can’t think of a good answer rn other than the devs changing 60% of passives in one patch.

I started a run a couple hours ago and have gotten up to 130 with mons but I’ve only used ghastly/haunter/genger for at least 120 of the stages. Charizard comes out when there’s a ground type boss but other than that nasty plot gengar absolutely annihilates 99% of mons, I highly recommend trying a ghastly start if you run out of ideas!

Cloyster is extremely strong especially against the late game rayquaza’s and eternatus, it will tank a hit from rock or fire types easily and get the counter kill with moves like icicle crash or liquidation

Mega Amphoros is up there for me in terms of design, but most megas are well designed really well, so hard to say a favorite without looking at a list

Casual playthroughs are always great to put on in the background whilst doing our own grinding of pokerogue or msking dinner or stuff like that. You do what makes you happy and don’t think too much of it! Fans will come no matter what and if you’re just yourself doing what you enjoy it will be a lot easier to maintain your audience because they’ll be here for you and not the content you force out!

For future reference status effects, recoil damage, etc. will always trigger before berries/items because status etc. is part of the turn and berries/items activate after the turn. Keeping that in mind might help save some unfortunate deaths to poison or burn!

Hey, thank you for taking the time to explain your starter selection! :) I also think bringing a pokemon with pickup is a good move, but I feel its a bit of a waste to bring as a starter. I can fairly consistently catch a pickup mon on the first two routes. Curious to hear what you think. Also on the egg gachas I wonder if trying the egg-move machine (instead of shiny-up) might be worth it. I feel that shiny pokemon are mostly useful for endless, and having a pokemon with a strong egg-move is way more important in classic. Thank you for continuing the series, I've been really enjoying it!

I found cloyster to be better early game and then just catch a Gary when you can, its pretty useless until lvl 20 as a magikarp and having both water and ice coverage helps a ton

i finally got a shiny meowth with Technician and with candys i got it passive tough claws and it is kinda insane for early game. Also this game is so addictive. Also also im going for grass mono do you have some recommendation what pokemons i should pick?
