How to really rub it in an officers face that they are old, give them a unit that was fresh when they were in their 20s 😂

Goes to show how much SUVs have grown in popularity. They went from being exclusively for higher-ups and Special Operations to being driven by almost every officer in the department, from the Police Chief and the Assistant Chiefs, all the way down to the Traffic Officers, and now even the volunteers are getting them! Miss the sedans already 😞

The cop likely owns his own vehicle. Some departments, depending on how long, you can buy the vehicle from the department and still use it. Obviously, it needs to be up to standards. There was an officer in Albuquerque who owned his own vehicle. A 2003 Chevy Tahoe. It was his vehicle originally amwheb he started. He bought it from the city. He worked for the department for over 25-30 years. Has all original equipment from 2003, and was fitted with a modern computer system and radio which the city paid for. If I'm not mistaken, he fixed up his own car.

Depending on the department you can buy the car you used for so long and use it, with limitations. No pits, or anything alike. Cant participate in chases. It's usually Sups that have these vehicles as you need to be with the department for so long.
