Great review,I’ve just ordered the GAS version with silver bezel from Amazon UK, the GAW is £115 more, I was given an AWG M100 with MB6 only last week by a builder friend of mine who says he has had it for maybe 14 years, after a deep clean and new outer case and strap it looks like new and I love it,it’s just the poor led,and with a red hour hand can be hard to read in lowlight with my 57 year old eyes without glasses on,hence the purchase of the GAS, would love the blue bezel but can’t find it in the uk, some used on eBay but from USA and Japan,so would have to pay import duty and tax to get it to uk

Hi again, @@Devonborn, I really like the blue bezel and I agree; the red hour hand seems difficult to locate in certain situations. For me, as a look at my 42mm that just came in today, missing the morse code on the second hand on the 38 is a loss, BUT, at the same time, it really makes the 42 that much more special. I refused to not get the 42 due to this. Its part of "The Murph".

Hey @@torgomax , thanks for sharing that. You are very lucky to have that one in your roster. I know you may already know but, I’d leave that watch no more than 5 min at a time in direct sunlight. Otherwise it may fry the components inside. For my solar powered watches, I choose a bright cloudy day and leave them on the window sill without too much worry but check on them once in a while. Hi, @@con95man. Yes, it has a normal battery in the sense that it “captures” the energy from the mini solar panels and discharges the energy slowly to ensure full function of the watch. I can even say that it charges on your wrist with artificial light. It’s not as efficient as Sunlight but it works. Furthermore, if you take it off, leave it somewhere with light and when you put it back on, it will be fully functional. All that to say “Yes, it’s worth getting” 😁 Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching!

Elle a bien un compte à rebours. Il est même multiple : on peut cumuler plusieurs comptes à rebours qui s'enchainent. Je n'ai pas la montre en main, mais de souvenir, pour avoir un compte à rebours simple, il faut que les comptes à rebours soient à zéro sauf le premier. Cette montre est confortable et son affichage extraordinaire. Bien que négatif, l'affichage est bien meilleur que n'importe quel autre. Mais diable qu'elle est complexe et pénible à paramétrer. En plus, l'action sur les boutons n'est valide qu'au lâcher de bouton. En fait, il faudrait que les 5600 et 5000 puissent avoir le même affichage mais en gardant leur module solaire et radio contrôlé.

about the water resistance, although it is marketed as splash proof, you can find stories from people all around how this watch simply outperforms the claim, people have gone diving with it, people have frozen this watch in water, and it has still come out victorious.

@@TheGeekazoid, everyone keeps telling me that! It looks soooo puny on my wrist. I’m wearing it now and for the rest of the week to “try” to get used to it but I’m not convinced just yet. I got this watch after a tip of which Casio should be a part of my watch collection. The first impression was that it's so small and light. It's really like a child watch. It just should have at least mineral glass crystal then, because the acryl will get a lot of scratches if children wear it. I use it now and then, and for the price of a pizza and a beer at a restaurant I cannot complain about its shortcomings.

This watch will give you great value for such an affordable price. solar charging so as long as you give it a good dose of sun or light source, no battery replacement. It is also accurate and is Casio durable. Has great complications if you use them.

I finally picked up my first g shock. I bought the 5600, it’s updated with a white led backlight. I’m happy with it so far, and fits my small wrist like a glove. Great review !

I like your overview! You've gained a sub. As for the Murph watch, I've been contemplating buying one and still can't decide between the 38 and the 42. I think the 38 would look better on my wrist but the "eureka" morse code on the 42 is a nice touch that the 38 doesn't have..

Initially, when I bought the 42, the 38 version wasn’t an option, but today, I would have the exact same questions … and, to be honest, I don’t regret my choice b/c the “eureka” indication is what sold me in the first place. The tie-in to the movie is more important to me, even today. Thanks for watching!

Je dois apporter un petit « bémol » par contre; récemment, j’ai eu beaucoup de difficultés techniques et je suis maintenant dans l’obligation de faire uniquement des « Shorts ». Je vais essayer de demeurer fidèle au format et je continue d’espérer faire des versions plus longues dans le proche avenir alors, ton abonnement à ma chaîne est TRÈS apprécié 😄👍🏻

However, after my brief discussion with Mr. Bertucci himself, he clearly indicated “if it’s not broken, why fix it” 😉 I.e. it’s a formula that made them what they are now.
