5:00 You said git fetch updates "remote-tracking branch" from "remote branch". 1:18 You show that git fetch updates local repo from the remote repo. So is "remote-tracking branch" same as local repo? If yes, then why introduce new terms with same meaning?

Configuration files needs to be tracked and committed only once. How can we prevent/freeze future commit on Configuration Files by other users who cloned it ? How do I make Git stop tracking Configuration files, in a way that configuration files should remain in the repository server so that if someone new clones the repo, they should get the file but changes done by that someone new should not be tracked or atleast should not be committed to git remote server ?

Bro my nodejs app has a .env file and I don't want to expose my secrets in the github repository. I need to pass this .env file to my app. can you please help me. I want to deploy my nodejs app in this fashion.
@learn4tarakki16811 ай бұрын
Sure, two way: - either have all .env key pairs defined within AWS App runner as env variables - or store them in SSM Paramter store or Secret Manager and fetch them via API call when service is booting up

Very useful content. Thanks author. I did for bitbucket using Mac M1 , but it throws some error , after research I found a solution by removing "UseKeychain yes" in ~/.ssh/config file. Then it worked well

Sorry, I'm newbie on GIT. How can create feature branch on TortoiseGIT ?
@learn4tarakki168 Жыл бұрын
feature branch is not a new type of branch, just create new branch from master or main branch using TortoiseGit with naming convention - feature/<SHORT-DESCRIPTION>

Hello you have given a good example. But you should also try to cover some issues. For example, one of the folder or a file could not be committed properly. While all files and folders are should green sign but one file does not. When you try to commit again, no file is appearing as a new file. In such a case what do you do

I would like to thank you my friend for this tutorial. I just finished listening and watching carefully all the videos from this playlist. I finally learned GIT and TortoiseGIT after watching your tutorial. You explained very well the concepts, and the diagrams you used are very useful to understand the main concepts. Unlike git cmd line tutorials =( . God bless you. Thank you so much, I enjoyed all the time spent within your course.
