Sorry to be one of those guys, but having served in Iraq as a young man this song hits particularly strong. I felt like it was directed towards the leaders who brainwashed us and sent us to war based on lies. The album this song is on has kind of a running theme that is very critical of war I would say.I take responsibility for my part don't get me wrong but I heard this right around the time I got out and I absolutely love it. Seen them live twice and they are AMAZING.

Love what you do with all those song reactions, also the warhammer 40000 ref was on point, fun to see a niche hobby creeping into the general consciousness! I would humbly suggest reacting to some Eidola, singer is a beast and they have an interesting writing. Perhaps the song Teletestai would be quite appropriate for a psy oriented look!

You will find plenty to talk about in Lamb of God's lyrics, particularly from the mental health angle. You should absolutely do more, and I recommend 'Walk With Me in Hell', 'Blacken the Cursed Sun', and 'Break You'.

I have notes. 😊 We are ashamed when we relapse, and this is tough because you're not trying to blame others, but the support dries up really quick if you do relapse. If you decide to kick everyone is right there and supportive, you relapse and most of those people disappear. It's a shame spiral that easily leads you back to using. The question at the end is answered by the drawings throughout the song. All are childlike or done in a child's style. Great reaction and thanks for what you do. It's a unique voice, and appreciated.

This song and take this life were the two main in flames songs that saved my life as a teenager. I went through so much trauma and abuse as a child, and bands like In Flames really stood out to me as something to hang onto. There are so many lyrics in the song Take This Life that felt so personal as if they were written about my life.

The vocalist Randy Blythe his voice is crazy heavy, but you can understand every word. You wanna know something absolutely insane? He doesn't like Metal, zero% none. He likes old school punk. Pretty amazing being in one of the top five best Groove Metal bands, and he isn't into Metal, lol.

Yeah this whole album is their best in my opinion. The singer was imprisoned once over a debatable charge of manslaughter. Overall this band like many others of this era saved me because the theme was anger and resentment as a pushback from the daily BS that went on during my upbringing. Also a band called, "Shadow Of Intent" does an amazing cover of this song.

when I was younger, I felt a lot of neg. feelings.. like depression. after being bullied in school for example. but I always had one thing keeping me going.. "what if the next day will be better? what if everything changes tomorrow?" so I lived to see what next morning would bring.. and I'm still here. that little hope, possibility, of a better life made me keep going.. later found out I have/had persistent depressive disorder. it can be hard but I have tools now to cope with it.. :)

YES!!! In Flames @HeartSupport I saw these guys live for the first time when they were on Gigantour with Megadeth and Children Of Bodom in 2008. My jaw was practically on the floor the entire time they were on that stage. Their music is so melodic and catchy and they had an amazing stage show on top of that. 16 years and 5 concerts, later and these guys are without a doubt one of my favorite bands of all time. They are one of those bands that can change their sound with every album. One of my favorites is the album Sound of a Playground Fading. Specifically the song "Fear is the Weakness." This song helped me through a lot. At the time this specific album came out, my older brother, who was only 19 at the time, was in and out of ICU battling severe leukemia. Chemo, blood transfers, everything under the sun. After some time fighting, he was finally cured through a bone marrow transplant provided by me. Just several months later, he relapsed and had to go back. This time with unfortunate results. This caused a lot of stress and practically fractured our family. My other older brother and sister moved away. My mom and dad split up practically leaving me and my younger brother almost homeless with my mother so we moved into my Dad's parent's house. My grandparents did everything they could for us three. Then almost a year to the day that my brother passed, my grandfather passed. As much as that total of MAYBE 2 years was the darkest time of my life. The family IS all back together and all living somewhat near one another. Mom and Dad are back together and we see the rest of the family on the holidays. But during the dark times, mainly listening to In Flames, Slipknot, Lamb of God, Alice in Chains, and Avenged Sevenfold, is what got me through. So with that being said I had just a few suggestion for some songs that mean a lot to me. In Flames - Fear Is The Weakness, Ropes, or Come Clarity Alice in Chains - Down in A Hold, Nutshell, Heaven Beside You Lamb Of God - Walk With Me in Hell, King Me, Blacken the Cursed Sun Avenged Sevenfold - I Won't See You Tonight Pts. 1&2 (These songs were written about suicide. Pt.1 is from the POV of the struggling individual and Pt.2 is from the POV of everyone else.)

Walk With Me in Hell, please!!! Despite the name, it's actually a support type of song. It's basically about everyone having their own personal "hell." Let's get together and get through our "hells" together. Originally written by the lead guitarist when he met his now wife. He was quoted as saying that this song took on a whole new meaning to him after he and his now wife's first child was stillborn. That song has helped me through my own tough times. Even though someone might not literally be standing beside me, it always reminds me that there are people out there that are willing to help you get through whatever "hell" you're experiencing.

So, 1.) Lead guitarist Herman Li had to get a custom made guitar so that he could more easily reach the highest frets on his guitar. 2.) A couple other songs I think you should check out are Heroes of Our Time and the band's cover of My Heart Will Go On (yes, you read that right)

This song is about hypocrisy indeed. One specific hypocrite in fact. It is directed at Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin. He accused tool of ripping off zep's style at one point. There are many references to zep and songs they covered or re-did. Chosen blues, all the blues classics they used, like the lemon song, or all of the Muddy Waters tunes. Zep and tool are my favorite bands and this one hit hard!!
