1. Travel insurance 2. Use Uber for public transportation; esp from airport to inner city 3. Stay in safest neighborhoods 4. Stay in the upscale Providencia neighborhood (but a little boring) -Bellavista neighborhood is still safe but more lively, can be sketchy at night -historic center only during day 4. Don’t walk around the Alameda bus terminal station area because it’s sketchy & full of hustlers who try and take your bag and charge you to carry it 5. Use common sense: don’t wear your wealth & flashy brands 5.
