My amazement never ends...every day, there is someone else re-inventing something with a new confusing name or some idiot code writer changing a color code for wiring, etc. In this case, what you are describing is CROSS THE LINE STARTING. FYI, it been called that since about 1895.
@iscauniversity15 күн бұрын
“Cross-The-Line” is an outdated term. Today, “Direct-On-Line (DOL)” and “Across-The-Line (ATL)” are the standard terms used. Terminology evolves, and sticking to modern, accepted terms is important. If you have issues with that, it’s on you to adapt.

@iscauniversity10 ай бұрын

Can we say ; contactor is for 3 phase , where as relay is for single phase ?
@iscauniversity10 ай бұрын
Contactors can be utilized in both three-phase and single-phase systems, depending on the current, voltage, and loads involved. They are often used in three-phase applications due to their ability to handle the higher demands of three-phase equipment like motors. However, contactors can also be used in high power single-phase switching.
@iscauniversity10 ай бұрын
In single-phase and low-voltage applications, relays are often chosen for tasks such as switching lights, fans, solenoids, or small motors. They are suitable for control logic, automation, and protection functions in these scenarios.
@user-sm9hh9hz8j10 ай бұрын
So , what is the difference between relay and transistor ? And difference between relay and contactor ?
@iscauniversity10 ай бұрын
Relays and contactors are electromechanical switches, while transistors are electronic switches without moving parts. Contactors are designed for heavier loads than standard relays. Transistors are faster and smaller but cannot directly control high power like relays and contactors can.

This video serves as a brief introduction to PLCs and an overview of the basics. It is meant to provide a foundation for complete beginners starting out with programmable logic controllers. In later videos, I plan to go more in-depth on PLC hardware components, programming languages like ladder logic, and PLC programming tutorials. This is just the first video in a complete PLC training series, so stay tuned for more detailed content on using PLCs for industrial automation. Let me know in the comments what PLC topics you want covered in the upcoming videos in this series!
