Some Girls came out in 76 right? Heres Ron Wood. And how about elton sporting Dodger Blue. The show here for the stones is a Day Job. I guess EJ is headlining.

Interesting that 3 months after this show Elton plays Dodger Stadium (and "tries" to commit suicide)

The Stones sucked live in those days. Still do, as far as I'm concerned but are better with the background singers and extra musicians.

It was cool to see mick chose Billy to walk up together the stairs to the stage. Didn’t choose wyman nor Elton. He clearly waited for Billy to go up.

In the 75’ Tour book, which is the best, they have the text of Elton’s call to Mick about “going on the stand with them” Slightly awkward it was That book has the best photos

Why do all the concert clips of the Stones (and most other bands) have 95% shots of the singer(s). Some of us would like to watch THE BAND. The whole band. Ridiculous.

there are very few violinists in the world that could match the technical perfection and depth of interpretation at the peak of their careers and she did this at 14. And yet she has continued to mature and grow and go deeper with every year. You see her performances as a teenager of some of the most difficult virtuoso pieces ever created and you think how can she get any better than that. But when you listen to her play a Bach adagio as a mature woman and break into tears on the first gripping chords you realise how amazingly fortunate you are to be able to witness the evolution of one of the greatest artists to ever pick up a violin.

I saw the Stones in Chicago, The Stadium on South Madison, in July, 1975. It must have been right after this show. 3 consecutive nights, starting July 23. I waited in line all night a few months before and got main floor, row 23. When the Stones started, Jagger was on a point of the stage and pushed down. He ended up about 20 feet away. He swung on a rope over the crowd. The place went nuts. I recall Ronnie Wood had just joined the band. I read about it in Rolling Stone magazine.

My dad worked with the Grateful dead and Alembic for close to 20 years and during the Deads 75 hiatus he went out with the Stones thanks to Sam Cutler. It was also a Billy Graham show so he always wanted his trust worthy crew. They brought a lot of Alembic stage PA gear with them. My dad told me stories about this show and how much coke was going around. Apparently Elton was doing a lot of blow and upstaged Keith on some parts... Keith wanted to kill him. Graham had to get Elton out of the stadium like an escaped convict. Haha. The music was great but my dad said he was much happier with the vibe of a good ol grateful dead show circa 70s.

Rolling Stones have got a lot to answer for starting the whole juvenile tough guy rocker thing, when really the truth of it is that they're simply spoilt brats on a delusional ride into old age looking back at their lives with embarrassment..
