Your current videos of the MG TD state that the car is a 1953. Likely a 1952 and possibly first registered in 1953. That, or the rear fenders have been replaced with earlier units. All 1953 MG TDs had round tail lights, not the old tall rectangles used between 1949 and 1952. Interesting car and smart move with the B motor. I like it with one exception.. Weber down draft carbs are inefficient, (90 degree fuel/air pathway), suck fuel, prone to vapor lock and very difficult to properly dial in without a sack of jets and a dyno. Were it my car, I would toss the bonnet side panels, install a proper set of HS 4 SU carbs. My first car was a 1953 MG TD MK II which I bought in 1965. One of 30 Brit cars I have owned. Currently have a 1963 MGB daily driver in excellent plus condition.
