Jimmy Driftwood came to Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas around the late seventies and I provided the PA system at Tucker coliseum for the Driftwood show. I was blown away by Jimmy and his fellow band mates; they were great! I've loved the simple instruments they played that night and the simpler times of music they brought with them! Jimmy played the guitar that he had made himself. They were an American Treasure right in my own back yard!!

I heard this song in passing, loved it and sent it to my husband to listen to, and a full week later started singing it to myself and pulled it up to listen again... and having forgotten that I sent it to my husband, resent it. ❤ Brings the Smoky Mountains and contra dancing of my youth right back to me.

Thanks for posting this show. I have really been into bluegrass/appalachian music lately. The historical value of the tune is something special that, as an American, I have a need in my heart to hear and to play. Rock on 🎉
