Thank you! I have had clients post cancer treatment with lymphedema and the hopelessness and despair can be a huge component and this is so very helpful!

This is amazing! I highly recommend it to anyone that might be interested. It's crazy how the trembling has a life of it's own and how released you feel after you complete this session. I tried this a couple of times- single sessions. And now I am going for 5 days in a row, as recommended to me. ;) I'm curious if the shaking typically subsides as you move through this multiple days in a row, or if you find it increases (as mine did from day one to day two). Or is this different for everyone? I'm looking forward to other sessions that so brilliantly combine Christine's ever expanding knowledge of the body with the intention of yoga, to heal.

Hi Susie! Thanks so much for sharing your experience and insight! I'm glad your practice has been fruitful. You're right that it's different for everyone - AND there are patterns that people group into. Sometimes the shaking/tremoring is negligible at first and only is really felt toward the end of 5 days. But usually it increases the first few times as we're finding comfort with the motions that can feel unusual, and then tapers off. If it kept increasing over the 5 days, I'd take a break and come back to it to feel what's different. In between, notice what's changed in your other movement practices, as well as the rest of your life. Thanks for being part of Badlands Yoga!

I might fall into the quad dominant group, and would love to hear more about the modifications for fierce pose.

Thanks for the comment and encouragement! I'll make one of next week's videos about that. For now, since you've practiced with me before here are a few cues that you might feel in your body: -In Fierce Pose, draw your knees back, draw your hips back. -In Fierce Pose (Uttanasana), lift all 10 toes; feel your weight drop into your heels. -One check for quad dominance: Fierce pose, arms back; inhaling, step your right foot out 6-12 inches; exhaling, step your left foot toward your right. 10 steps to the right, 10 back to the left. Stand up. Do you feel it in your quads or your glutes more? -If you felt that in your quads more, "wake up" the glutes with Reverse Table Top Lifts (sitting with hands and feet on floor, exhale, lift hips, inhale lower to hover; repeat 10-15x, rest in forward fold). -Glute bands are great for working with this.
