Do they get splints in their legs or arthritis? Probably have to retire them young because of the shock on the legs? But it's certainly good to see it can walk naturally as well.

Thanks for educating people on this breed. Theyre bred for this, they do this from birth and people think they are abused to learn how to do this.

Those are beautiful horses and very interesting how they gait but, to me it looks incredibly uncomfortable. All the videos I've seen of them the rider looks like they are bouncing up and down and jiggling at an very uncomfortable frequency. But everyone says they are the most comfortable horse to ride. I'm confuse really. I sure wouldn't want to ride one more than a few minutes like that. I haven't had a horse, or ridden a horse in over 50 years and I'm thinking of getting back into it and wont to find the best kind to have at my age, I'm almost 66.

I have a wonderful Paso Fino mare that looks just like the horse in the video. Very smooth but these horses tend to run very hot. I would not recommend this breed to older folk. Can get very hurt on a hot horse.

I have my 3rd Paso Fino. I have serious back and whole body joint pain and this breed can go all day and so can I. The Largo gait is plenty fast on trails. They are so easy on my 68 yr old body and my mare is very personable, smart and willing . I would not ride any other breed because they cause too much pain. I found out about this breed through my Vet back in 1985

Please that is no smile… it’s an expression of pain/discomfort, in this instance from rein and bit tension. I know many equestrians don’t know the difference, i do not want to mean in any way just educating. You can look it up if you don’t believe me.

I rode my first Paso Fino in 1988. As I was coming back down the aisle, his owner said “you’ve got that Paso Fino smile”. I’m old and fat now, and my Pasos are long gone, but I hope to have that smile again someday!

Oh my goodness, that's adorable! It also helps disspell myths that gaited horses only gait or have extreme gaits because they were abused (though some are, unfortunately). The foal looks happy and healthy

I have a Profeta daughter & a Profeta grand daughter . They are in their 20’s. now but will live out their lives with me. Two of the most beautiful gentlest mares ever . So endearing . They whinny to me ever time I walk out of the house or drive into the driveway coming back home !!! They give their “welcome home” whinny to me !!!! Such beautiful precious souls they are !!!!
