Gerhard Richter??! He should be in the top 10, let alone the top 100. Appreciate the work that’s gone into this, though, thank you.

The art of the mess...paintings that make the viewing experience meaningless, and not even any fun. Constant camera movement makes me seasick and rarely shows an intact image.

Comtempary artists are the failures of their own art. Please never reanimate a master. He would just do away with himself if he seen just a drop of what art has become.

Big thanks for the video. Wish I could have seen the show. I've been in love with de Kooning's style of painting and its changes for quite some time, and was very happy to see paintings here I didn't know before.

Elaborate on your comment. Don't leave it at...."tiresome". Why is it tiresome, to you? That's all you're saying. Might as well. stfu. Or... elborate on why you think your opinion is valid.

Sterile, boring, meaningless and pretentious. New artists and galeries needed at Madrid Art week! Thank you ARTPATICO for showing us this sad truth.

As an artist, it's a damn, damn shame that the art world has to be flooded with false artists who only use art for money laundering and tax evasion purposes. It discourages both people from engaging with the art world or even taking it seriously, and discourages artists from wanting anything to do with it. Even large institutions like The Met can have its legitimacy be brought into question when faced with damming problems the landscape faces.

Literally none of these people are great painters. Look up people like Jacob Collins or Colleen Barry, or Anthony baus. This shit here is just like other modern things. The overwater stuff is what becomes huge. Children on TikTok and such. This stuff is cool and good. But it’s massively overrated. And created with photos and projectors. And they just make it really really big. And their skill is so mediocre that the things they make look like it’s this hugely unique and original thing but really it’s just because it’s so far from truly being able to wield naturalism that it’s uniquely bad. And again bad is good, but it’s overrated. And it’s sad that these are what make all the money. Becuase it can be slapped on all the trendy pop culture things. Not to mention that all these people like Cecile brown are so bad and so overrated that they never had to get good at some kind of skill. Thier skill lays within thier ability to be trendy. And make huge pieces of work and get people to think it’s special. And the unfortunate truth is that, taking most of this stuff too seriously is sad 😊

And it only gets worse, this is but the tip of the iceberg as they say. I am an art collector and researcher of 25+ years and in my opinion, The high-end Art world is on par with the corrupt and unscrupulous world of politics, and Elites everywhere to put it mildly. But don't be surprised it has been going on for centuries.

Don’t believe it was. The works on display were in some way connected to De Kooning’s stays in Italy in ‘59 and ‘69 and covered a period from the late 50s up to the 80s.

@artpatico I love to paint and sculpt. I like to tell stories in my paintings. Some are surreal. Some are representational. Some are abstract .But they have a cohesiveness. I want you to be moved. Emotionally and visually in a direction that is not abusive to the senses visually or tactally. We see ànd feel all nature. We experience what God has Created.I try to paint and sculpt them all within the Constraint of my talent with the mediums that I work with. All we hear, see and feel hold an inherent beauty and ferociousness That I try to represent. When I look at A painting. And it has paint splattered or brushed randomly. That can only be what the artist hasTo say. That's their interpretation of their experience. That's when you look at it from my porch. Peace be with you❤️🙏👍
