I’ve heard convincing arguments for both Yahweh and Yahuah. I would love for God to give me confirmation 100% either way. Ordering the Hardcover LSB with a Bible Cover for protection. Thank you for your hard work and I believe Yahweh will reward you, especially when the MacArthur Study Bible Edition comes later. I always love Dr. MacArthur's Notes to help in gaining insight into more difficult passages.

My 1st Bible was the NASB 77 and I found it easy to understand. Since then, well, I have found out the rightful names for The Almighty, His Son and The Holy Spirit in Hebrew. I use that in my daily texts because Satan get a personal pronoun, why did the KJV Translators and others think it was alright to give a title to The Trinity? In the KJV Elohim says his name is YAH, in Hebrew it is Yahuah, Yeshua is The Son and Ruach HaKodesh is The Holy Spirit. Since there are many gods, why use the singular God for The Father? That is a subject for another time. I have the LSB in Logos Bible Software, so, I will check it out in parallel to KJV and NASB 77/95. Should the LSB be available in a McArthur Study Bible, I might add it to my library.

Interesting video! The theological gymnastics. Sticking more so to the duality of God rather than the tri-unity theology. The duality of God, LORD and Jesus = Yahweh? Does that theology stand when tested? How Jesus counter the religious leaders of this time when charged that his witness was NOT true, because it was about himself. What was the Scriptural, unshakable foundation? He dismantled their vicious trap by telling them, ".. is it written in your Law the witness of TWO men is true..?", --- Matthew 8:17. If Yahweh and Jesus are the same, it would definitely prove Jesus was a false prophet according to the Law Jesus himself Jew was following. Jw. org/en.

In some respect, the ESV uses the same word more other than slave and Yahweh than the NASB 95 and the LSB

Jesus is the only person in history who was born in the flesh of the holy spirit; Mary is his mother and God is his father. This is different than being born again, where a sinner is forgiven and then given the spirit of God.

I like both the ESV and the LSB (or as James White calls it "the NASB perfected"). 😊 For me, there's not a huge difference between the two. I think the ESV is slightly more literary, the LSB/NASB perhaps more wooden here and there as its reputation goes but I think the woodenness criticism has also been overstated even if there's a grain of truth to it. I prefer the ESV more for stylistic and aesthetic factors like not using capitalization for divine pronouns unlike the LSB which does. But the LSB translates LORD as Yahweh which I prefer. I don't mind as much as Phil seems to mind about using the same English word for the same underlying Hebrew or Greek word. That's in part because no translation, not even the LSB, does this 100% of the time since it'd often make for bad English, so it's unavoidable to be perfectly consistent. Also because it tends to neglect the wide semantic range that words have (e.g. like if we translate the English word "walk" into the same word in another language, it wouldn't necessarily always make sense since "walk" can mean lots of different things depending on context, like going for a walk or a walk in baseball or a way of life or a walk about as in Australia means more than a mere stroll). In the end, I think both the ESV and the LSB are good translations.

The reason I purchased this Bible was the courage of the translators to accurately include God's name where it occurs. Who gave translators the right to substitute titles and rewrite scripture perhaps to shore up their own theological beliefs? Certainly the intent of Revelation 22: 18-19 should weigh heavily on any translator.
