Was getting trashed in IC chat the other day because apparently you aren't a pro renegade player, Rencorner donators and mods think if you don't play 2v2 matches with them then you don't count, been watching you be one of the best since Jelly was at its height. Sad the steam booms starting to dwindle, but when I see how some of the moderators act, I'm not shocked, nonstop AFK kicks for not responding instantly, they only kick the afks on THEIR team half the time too. The moderator application info and the players who are mods are polar opposites.

@@VerryLongName I'm very aware of this, but its also not helping at all because I've never been a steam player and its making ME want to play less and less the way they are persecuting players, never seen so many bans so fast in such a small community that managed to survive, they got drunk on the full server fun in my opinion.

@@TV_Renegade I rarely play one on ones but there's nobody I hate to have to snipe more than you end of story, when I counter snipe you which is rare its because I don't play like 90% of the playerbase and hug walls in and out I just run at you jumping like a maniac trying to land those shots. I just like having fun in the game, and when they're banning good players, people I've played with for nearly two decades because they cannot handle the banter, they can dish it out but can't take it back.

I think this map would be better if they made it so you could drive the buggy to air instead of hon so it was an equal trade for veh factories if you use the vehs to dodge base defenses roundstart, although I suppose part of the fun is also in the difference. One of the few customs I enjoy.

It's a bit much I think but I guess the community is so tiny at this point (not that RenX's is giant either) that they can just do goofy stuff like that if everyone is cool with it. Nice to see some original Ren love even to this day. Been watching a few of these ever since YT recommended it.

14:04 I know Shadowfox and it doesn't take a great deal of intuition to realize that this is probably a mistake, such as attempting to mine the WF doorway and getting bumped by another player, lag or something similar; a single mine is a 'place', not 'places' and doesn't really indicate a pattern of hindering.

At least it has still some players and you can play even coop. I was playing Ren as a kid but offline mode only and after many years I forgot about this game. A few years ago I found its community "remake" called RenX powered by Unreal Engine. I played it every week on saturdays and sundays because there is mostly only one server active, sometime even two. 2 weeks ago I bought a classic Ren on steam and felt that "nostalgia" I had as a kid but I didn't think to play this game online until I was not able to set a correct resolution. I started to look for a patches for latest Windows and I found a multiplayer client. I was really suprised that even every day there are a people who play it and still enjoy it. I didnt play it much time but I noticed that the rounds are really fast, mostly after 10 min one base is destroyed :P . In RenX some maps you can play even 3 hours but I assume it was also almost the same when classic Ren was really popular. Anyway it is stil a great game.

why is the current status bad? i started playing like 2 weeks ago after probably a decade. I had games with 10 players each team and i was the only one playing with arty on field while the rest was running around in tunnle and kinda do nothing. Is this what you are reffering to? that there are lots of player who are like bots?

I played the Ren server. 80% of the players do not give a damn about their base and just let it die. They go out to the field to attack but don't stay behind to repair base.

@@DionLYA ok now that i hear this i realize thats true. Base defense today is really bad compared to how i remember it. Some Thoughts on that: With the steam release some players get inspired to play again after years, or even try out multiplayer for the first time. In that case we should be patient with them learning the Game. Be nice to them and explain them some strats. Communication is key in this game! Also i noticed some Bots in the Games. They seem like real players but if u watch them play the game u notice they are actually bots. One named Unnamed and one was Kazim_D or something like that. idk if this is the server or some random dude experimenting with bots.
