Great war has 58 command cards it must be 60. The useless 2 medal cards must be replaced with 1)Bayonet charge: Order all battlefield units adjacent to enemy units to close combat +1dice. 2)Air strike: Target a group of 4 or less units. Roll 2 dice each. Each deadly and bust hit. Ignore flags and soldier symhol according to close combat. Or You can add one more whistle& bugles command card to deck

13:25 I think you have the effect of Air units in China wrong. The modifier for air units doesn’t add to the Offensive Baseline Value. It is instead added to the die roll.

When you start playing with vehicles in ASL, the game stops being fun. You're accompanied by the constant feeling that you're definitely doing something wrong and it starts to be very annoying. Too many rules, full of small unreadable information on tokens that you cover up with a turret token. The game has too many verbal abbreviations. Thanks for the video. It helps, but it's still hard to grasp.

What would happen in the following situation? France’s moves: Burgundy supports Munich. Munich moves to Berlin. Russia’s moves: Bohemia supports Silesia to Munich. Prussia moves to Berlin. Does Munich have to retreat? Thanks,

Burgundy cannot support Munich-Berlin as it has to be a legal move for it to support. If instead Kiel supported Munich-Berlin it would stay in Berlin and Prussia would be forced to hold. Edit: I think I misunderstood the question

Sorry after rereading I understand the question, Sil-Mun fails. The rule states "One unit not moving (hold or prevented from moving) can stop a unit or series of units from moving. Pg. 9 Para. 2 of the latest rulebook

Hey! Excellent video as always. We are a little confused. At 8:55 or so, there is a leader with a unit that is given a green check on the right flank, indicating that it was ordered. But the battle card shows two center sections only. Why is the leader/unit on the right flank checked?

Great tutorial series. I noticed one rules mistake at 16:55: ARVN has to redeploy troops from any Provinces that don't have COIN BASES (6.4.2), control is not relevant.

I like to try Germany vs. France without the intention of taking it, to allow Italy capturing France. Germany has nearly enough starting units to take UK or Leningrad even if UK or Leningrad puts more than 12-20 infantry on. Germany needs close to 16 transports for its starting units plus some navy defense. Germany should have enough starting ships and planes to take the waters; dont use any German planes in France. If Germany holds money round one, Germany will have enough money to build a large navy all at once. Germany has to keep their planes positioned to attack either Leningrad, UK, or perhaps participate in the sea. Dont be afraid to loose some planes in the land battle, its more important to actually land. First move, let Italy take France. Itll give Italy more money for the capture + steady income. That extra money that can be used to expand. It will make the difference. I think of Germany as capital hunter that is willing to destroy itself because Italy is defending the home by expanding and securing the south resources. In theory, Germany will have lost most of its starting pieces and first purchase trying to land on UK or Leningrad. After Germany's first major attack, it will seem that only Italy is on the board. Germany will have destroyed a lot of its starting units in the amphibious and Italy will keep everything secure until Germany can build using captured money. Germany into France battle round one: (I think the math is right for this example but in general this is how how I calculate) 8 units @ 1/6 = 1.33 expected hit 3 units @ 3/6 = 1.5 expected hit 2.8 expected hit total, I generally round down because I dont want to build luck here into the strategy France starts with 7 units @ 2/6 1 tank @ 3/6 1 fighter @ 4/6 Expected hit is 3.496 or I tend to round up to 4; I tend to build luck here into the strategy. >> Continued fighting Germany into France and the 3 tanks still do 1.5 expected hit. After loosing four units, there are Four @ 1/6 = .66 2.1 total. Round to 2 France would probably loose a AAA gun and have due to another loss, there are now Six @ 2/6 = 2 tank = .5 Fighter = .66 3.1 and it would be extremely lucky to get 4. >> Run this again. But really the idea is for Germany to weaken France enough that Italy can take it. ___ Let the German player focus clearing the waters and repositioning everything to purchase 12-16 transports and some defensive navy to land everything they start with into either UK or Leningrad.

If you could only have one, I would go with A&A Europe 1940 2nd Edition. I prefer WWII to WWI and you can also pickup the A&A 1940 Pacific Game and join the boards to play Global. I remember 1914 being a shorter game though (3-4 hours) so if time is an issue go that way.

i know i'm not the target audience for this video, as i have been playing arkham horror for a bit over a year, however this was an AMAZING video, and i wish i found it sooner because i ended up watching about 5 different videos before understanding enough of the rules to play, and then slowly understanding the rest while playing, but your video is just a thousand times clearer than any other, well done!

Spells are NOT often one of the two actions a player can do during action phase. Only if the word Action: appears at the spell's description. Otherwise, spells can be cast any time, ie during action phase, monster phase or encounter phase.
